Husband and I shared the breakfast special. It consisted of 2 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 bacon, and 3 pancakes. Plenty for both of us. Very tasty, and good quality. Waitress was very friendly. Clean restaurant.

We stopped in for breakfast at about 9:00 AM on a Wednesday. We had to wait for a table, but only about 10 minutes. I ordered the breakfast special of the day, which was supposed to be a stack consisting of hashbrowns, cheddar, two eggs, bacon, and hollandaise sauce (I got mine without bacon). It was supposed to have toast... More

Ever in search of an excellent Reuben sandwich, I was not unhappy with the Running Bear's offering. Served on marbled rye with Thousand Island on the side. Tender sauerkraut and not too much of it (a common sin with this sandwich), and enough Swiss that I could actually taste the Swiss cheese flavor. Served melty hot with plenty of fries... More

We frequent Yellowstone several times each year. This is by far the best breakfast in town. It is a little out of the way but still right in town. Great omelets and custom breads. Yummmm.

The grilled trout breakfast which came with a large, nicely grilled fillet. The house cut hash browns were crispy and tasty; the eggs, ordered over-medium, came out just right to my taste. My husband's fried ham with bone steak was also delicious. The servings were generous with enough left over for another light meal. The waitress was friendly and attentive.... More

Really enjoyed the breakfast. My son ate every bit of his strawberry crepes. I had banana bread French toast that was really good. Only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is the tables are really close together and it made my husband feel claustrophobic.

We spent a week here and with the season coming to an end the choices are few and far between. We were told this place is very good for breakfast and it is! The owner is a witch. Super rude, doesn't talk to anyone but her wait staff. She was eating in the doorway. Extremely low class!

We stayed in West Yellowstone for 3 days and had planned to buy breakfast food and have breakfast at our hotel to save a bit of money. Our first day's breakfast at Running Bear changed that. They have a great variety of hot drinks...salted caramel hot apple cider, espresso Chai tea (the "Dirty Chai") and the "Mountain Man" (coffee with... More

Generous portions, friendly staff, small town feeling, and above average breakfast fare. As my husband and I were hoping to see a bear later in Yellowstone, he said if one came after us, I would be the target because I had trout for breakfast at the Running Bear.
