We stopped in to have lunch and rest our feet from walking around town. Greeter was friendly. Waitress was also friendly and helpful with daily specials. I had the homemade vegetable barley soup which was good but need more seasonings for my taste buds. My husband had the BLT sandwich with a bag of chips. Perfect serving and he enjoyed... More

We had both breakfast, lunch and dinner ( on different days) at this restaurant. It is a basic cafe style, family restaurant. There is a salad bar with soup which is good. Our meals were all good with great service. No empty coffe cups or water glasses here!

There aren't many places to eat decently inside the Park. We chose to drive out and see what West Yellowstone had to offer. First off, it's an interesting little town, much more so than Gardiner, MT on the north entrance to the park. (We were staying there.) When we got into town, we saw a sign over this restaurant that... More

A group was tiring of burgers which are available every where. We enjoyed the variety on the menu--salads, stew, fish and more. The waiter had a great sense of humor which made it fun. Prices were reasonable.

Well.... It's as close as we got to home cooked food. It was nice and a break from fast food. Very interesting decor, lots of history on the walls. Liked the booths for sitting. The dinners were large, no room for dessert. Felt a little expensive for two meals. But worth a visit to eat something a bit more normal.

Tired of burgers? I went here with family and we all had the salad bar. Good, fresh salads. A little pricey, like all of West Yellowstone, and the salad bar is small. Still, we were ready for a change and it hit the spot. Ate here twice in four days.

Being sick of burgers and steaks we wanted something different. We settled on a beef stew. It wasn't like the ones I make at home, but it was still very good, with plenty of beef and vegetables (the latter being very hard to find in American restaurants!). It looked a small portion in the little bowl it was served in,... More

Stopped in at the Outpost for breakfast. Enjoyed a fairly good portion of, among other items from the easy-to-read menu, eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, good-tasting coffee, freshly brewed hot tea, and strawberry/rhubarb pie. While the meal was freshly cooked, the great-tasting bacon, however, was leathery. I figure it was previously cooked, refrigerated and then micro-waved before serving. The pie was OK... More
