Red Lotus is a pretty decent sit-down Chinese restaurant. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the food was a cut above the typical small-town Chinese buffet offerings. I had the Chinese Hot Pot, which had a generous meat to vegetable ratio, and the portion size was large enough that I took some back to the hotel for lunch the next day. The servers were very attentive and polite. Best of all, the prices were very reasonable for this area, making Red Lotus an excellent value overall.

This place serves mostly Sichuan dishes meaning they are on the spicy side. The quality of the food was great and service was attentive. A bit on the pricey side but overall a decent Chinese restaurant.

After searching all over town and finding everything was over an hour wait, we opted to order takeout from Red Lotus. Broccoli beef was pretty good. Shrimp chow main had no flavor. Noodles seemed like spaghetti. The ladies who helped us were all very nice. The food was ready in a jiffy.

Wife ordered hot sour soup...salty and no flavor. She had vegetable fried rice..it was fair but dry and a bit bland. I had egg rolls...not bad. Hot mustard was sour and medium in heat. My shr5chow mein was very poor..however the shrimp were OK. Found bugs crawling under table, and while looking for more, discovered just how dirty the place was. Insult to injury, a TIP was added to my bill. I can just imagine why. Will not return.

Carryout order was ready lightning fast- maybe ten minutes? Friendly service. The crab rangoon was yummy- crisp on outside and about twice as much filling as most places. Broccoli beef was good. Great end to a day in the Park.

Clean and neat, great service, food came out hot & fast, generous serving. I had hot and sour soup, my husband had creamy corn soup & we split Kung Pan Chicken that was served with steamed rice. See my photos. My husband also hat hot tea that was served nice and hot and was delicious!

We had dinner here with 15 people. They seated us at 2 tables and promptly had our drinks out to us. Everything was clean, and comfortable. The entire restaurant had on masks. Our appetizers were brought out within 10minutes and our meals soon after. It was served family style and we all took advantage and tried each other’s dishes. You will enjoy anything you order here. Of course they paired well with a couple bottle of wine as well!

Dining options in West Yellowstone are limited and all of them, with one exception, are meat-centric.
If you're looking for something a bit healthier, check out Red Lotus. The service was super quick, and the food was plentiful, hot and flavorful. They offer all of the standard Chinese food options, plus a couple wild game dishes.
The stars of the menu, though, are the vegetables! Cooked to perfection, everything was crisp and fresh, and well seasoned.
The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. As other reviews have mentioned, they do automatically add a 15% tip to your bill. It's printed right on the menu, so there's no reason not to be aware of that. Fortunately, the food and service warranted the gratuity.

I was craving Asian food so thought I would give this place a try for take-out. My son went to McDonalds and I definitely didn't want that on vacation! Well, I understand the desire to maximize profits, but why skimp on the protein in dishes like fried rice or Kung-Pao Chicken? I basically ate brown colored rice with little eggs and meat in my fried rice and mostly vegetables and sauce in my Kung-Pao Chicken. I would estimate that the meat was at least half the amount of average Chinese food dishes from other restaurants.

The food was very good. The taste was authentic Chinese and not "Americanized". The portions were perfect for two skiers recently off the mountain. Our waiter was kind and caring and very busy. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an enjoyable meal.

Hot and sour soup was tasty and packed with veggies and other yummy stuff. Crab Rangoon was also great, but very rich and big pieces. Had actual “crab” that could be seen (though I think it was imitation crab). Spring rolls good and beef and broccoli was cooked perfectly. Rice was a bit dry.

The food is ok and the restaurant atmosphere is average. The 3 star rating is really on the price of food.. each entree mostly averaging $20 or more and portions are small. But if you are craving for some Chinese food while in Yellowstone- this is the best option I think

I went here around 7pm with 5 kids. The place was pretty empty, probably due to the massive floods closing half the park. The service was good. The fried rice, orange chicken, and lo mein were all good. It’s not a cheap meal like Chinese is in many cities but everything in West Yellowstone costs more.

I ordered sweet and sour pork (to go). It was literally a box of tough pork chunks and a small side container of sweet and sour sauce. No vegetables. No pineapple. There wasn't even enough sauce for the meat. It was awful. It was the worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life. And I'm old. Don't eat here.

Mediocre Chinese food (ok you are in Montana). Over priced like most restaurants in West Yellowstone, Some of the staff were a bit impatient and not overly friendly. The egg rolls were white and disgusting. You are better off getting Chinese food at the local supermarkets.
