Great service , great food! Welcomed right when we walked in the door and great service throughout. Our server Genaro was speedy and genuine. He recommended some great food and was always making sure we had everything we needed. Definitely should check this place out if you are passing through.

I am visiting the Yellowstone area from my hometown in California. I saw the amazing reviews on yelp and decided to come on in. There was a bit of a wait since they don't take reservations, but I knew the night would be great when we received the best waiter Genaro! He was kind and funny and knew how to... More

As this was my first time dining at Cafe Madriz, I was quite stumped on what I wanted to order. I had a very welcoming waiter, Genaro, suggest the Spinach Salad, Gambas al ajillo, and Paella! I have never tried Paella before and was very happy to give it a shot. Waiter checked on me in a timely manner and... More

We returned a 2nd time on our trip to have the awesome spinach salad again and to try something new. Service the 2nd time was terrible. We had the male server and he was the worst server we have ever had at any restaurant. He was in a huge rush and before we even sat down he asked if we... More

My husband and I went to Cafe Madriz on our last night in W Yellowstone. We thought we would have problems getting in but got a table right away about 6 pm. The sangria was perfect for a hot summer day! We ordered paella, gazpacho and a salad. I especially liked the paella because it only had chicken and seafood... More

Since at home the nearest Spanish cuisine is nearly 200 miles away, I was delighted to see the TA recommendation for Cafe Madriz. Not every dish was a 10, but the overall experience was superb.

I am visiting Yellowstone from California and saw great reviews of Cafe Madriz on Yelp. This restaurant surpassed my expectations! We ordered several different dishes to share between the seven of us. We ordered Paella, Tortilla Espanola, Albondigas en Salsa Espanola, Pesto Manchego, Ensalada de Espinacas y Piñones, Gambas al Ajillo, and Pan con Tomate. Everything has so much flavor... More

Tapas in West Yellowstone? Sounds good, and it is a nice diversion from the typical pub food in the area. The problem is that if yoiu're expecting good tapas, you'll be disappointed. Canned anchovies instead of camerones, for example. What really disappointed me was that the tomatoes in August were rock-hard, when it should have been easy to get ripe... More

With inside and outside seating, and authentic Spanish tapas and meals...a real jewel. The salad was superb...only thing that could improve it is fresh anchovies (very unlikely here in MT). Nice selection of Spanish cheeses and cured meats. The paella was very flavorful with a nicely caramelized crust. We had the custard dessert (like a creme brûlée). It was delicious.... More
