We stopped for dinner on a recent visit to Yellowstone. We sat at the bar and John was our bartender/server. He was very busy with the service bar as well as the bar customers, and while it took a little time for him to warm to the bar guests he did eventually and ended up being engaged with us. I... More

This is the third time we've eaten there in the off-season (fall). In addition to being one of the few restaurants open in late fall, the dinner specials are usually very good. The cocktails are also very good & generous. Housed in the first grade classroom of the old elementary school, the staff were attentive and helpful.

We arrived 5 minutes before the restaurant opened and were curtly told the restaurant opens at 5 (even though the doors were open and some folks (maybe staff) were sitting at tables and bar). We asked to see a menu - which the woman at the door grudgingly flounced off and got - sour look on her face, threw it... More

Average burgers, dry buns, French fries were actually huge chunks of baked potatoes with no sour cream . Service personnel acted bored. Nice atmosphere but overpriced. There were no options for sides. Better burgers and fries at Burger King (and much cheaper! )

For a tourist town, the dinner we had was excellent. I chose the chicken pasta with prosciutto, which I have to say was one of the tastiest dishes I have had this year. My wife had the trout which again was very good. We were so impressed we returned 2 nights later to resample the menu. Again an enjoyable experience.... More

It's difficult to make a burger average but this place did with a bun that was nearly stale, though the ingredients: bacon, cheese, huckleberry jelly, burger and usual veggies were decent (3+). Attentive service by the bartender (name unknown, bald head, beard) was the saving grace. The fries were huge potato chucks somewhat spiced and a couple were much less... More

Had a lovely dinner with a pleasing ambiance. Wait staff were helpful and pleasant. The town is pretty dead by late October and Madison Crossing was a delightful find.

Nice selection on menu and any foodie will enjoy the stop here. Also was impressed with the wine list for this neck of the woods, good Oregon Pinot Noir wow.... We got the bison burger with house cut smoked paprika fries and pork chop stuffed with spinach, blue cheese and buffalo chorizo YUM. Cooked the fresh greens el dente, only... More

Arrived in town about 5 PM and stopped for dinner. I had read reviews and it sounded good. Service was excellent. My glass of wine was excellent. My wife had the chicken pasta with unique seasoning and more than she could eat. I had a steak that was prepared perfectly.

I think this is the best place in town to eat. I had the trout and my husband had the chicken schnitzel. For dessert we shared a huckleberry sundae. The best part I think the wonderful bread that they served before the meal was delivered.
