I try to eat vegan/vegetarian when I can and the Hungry Hugo is one of the BEST vegetarian sandwiches that I have ever had. I also loved the huckleberry milkshake and huckleberry cream pie. The other food that I tried was unfortunately not that great. They have an interesting family style dinner and breakfast. I wish I came here for... More

If you're coming to Johnson's, bring your appetite. This is a great place for huge portions of good homestyle cooking at a very reasonable price. The place was packed when we got there but were lucky to get a table. The wait staff was friendly and service was prompt. It seemed like the food just kept coming and coming. I... More

When you pull up, you will think maybe it is a mistake. Once you get your food, you will know this is no mistake. The food here is incredible. Just imagine finishing a long hike and your grandma serving her best meal for you. It's that good. And probably better. Sorry Grandma Betty!

extremely rude and disrespectful hostess, Greasy food, bad atmosphere - dark cabin with gross knick knacks & old slow country music. Go to Park Cafe instead.

We had been wandering around Glacier National Park all day and pulled in for an early dinner. I had the burger and Beef Barley Soup, Really good. The soup was truly amazing. Service was good as is the decor ~ cool old things.

Tripadvisor comes through again on this recommendation! A great family restaurant that has been in business since the 1950's serving delicious home style food. Come hungry as portions are large! Most meals come with their 'Good Soup'. I have to say the soup, and house made croutons, is excellent. Patrons, young and old, were talking about it across the tables!... More

Johnson's is an authentically historic place to eat in St. Mary's. We ate breakfast here twice and got take-out once. Very large servings! It is a family-style country restaurant. Read the history of the Johnson's - interesting!

While in Kalispell on business a group of us wanted to drive the Going to the Sun Road. So we left about 1 PM and had a delightful trip. I then remembered Johnson's from past trips there. So my friends and I ended up at Johnson's for dinner. It has a character and ambiance all its own which I always... More

Our family of three adults enjoyed dinner at this restaurant one evening. We weren't staying at Johnson's, but it was conveniently located near our hotel. We all ordered something from the family style supper section of the menu, which means everyone gets the entree of their choice and then all the side dishes are served family style. The night we... For many years they used to have a sign on the highway touting their "World famous fried chicken" but the sign is no longer there. I was disappointed when I finally had it but some friends were raving how good their dinners were. My portion was huge but the staff is college students without formal training so they are not...
