We generally have good service when we visit this chain of restaurants, but this visit was lackluster. Our waitress took our order, and then we didn’t see her again for over 20 minutes. We had ordered an avacado dip appetizer, which probably takes 30 seconds...to warm up in the microwave and bring to the table. Place was not busy, and there were plenty of servers standing around chatting with each other. I was about to cancel it when another server showed up with our dish. Our entrees were good and delivered to our table in a timely fashion. Did not see our waitress again until she brought our bill. Seems as though service should be better with fewer people dining in these days.More

We have eaten at several Mackenzie River restaurants from Missoula to Kalispell to Spokane. Good varied menu with pizza, salads, pasta, etc. The food was good, waitperson prompt. After returning home, I discovered the final charge processed was more than I authorized. I spoke with...the GM who advised the waitperson rounded up the tip by $2. She wasn’t satisfied with the 20 plus percent I already gave her! I hope this doesn’t happen to another customer.More

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Glacier. Food was good. We had chicken fingers and pizza. Lots of it, so we took leftovers with us. We would eat here again.

We had a good meal and the serice was execellent. We will be back to this restuarant. This facility was recommended by a local person and we both had a salad and an appetizer. The price was very reasonable.

I fortunately found myself in Polson for 1 month. Having to eat GF, MacKenzie’s became my go to spot. Their range of pizza options were great. I kept going to the Stockman (steak, pepperoni, cheddar cheese), but the BBQ, pepperoni, and others were great as...well. Family enjoyed the salads and the burgers.More

My friend and I were in Polson to search for the very rare Ivory Gull, which was being seen at Blue Bay Campground. We were quite tired and hungry after driving from western Washington in one day. We enjoyed the fried pickles [sic] for an...appetizer. I had a reuben sandwich. As I told the waiter, I would be a severe reuben critic, since I am originally from New York. I later told him that it had been one of the four or five best reubens I'd had west of the Hudson River. I can't remember what my buddy ordered, but I think his was good, too. I also enjoyed a local IPA.More

Nice atmosphere, really good burgers, cold beer - I enjoyed my time at MacKenzie River Grill. I only did not give this location 5 stars, because one drink we ordered was still not delivered after about 20-30 minutes, and we were ready to go and...decided not to get it.More

The service was so bad, I could spit. Our waitress didn't even introduce herself, she just wanted to know what beverages we would like. She didn't know the beers, and clearly had no interest in finding out anything. No help was offered. She even yawned...when my father was ordering his food. That's right, she straight up YAWNED in front of the customer. Completely unnaceptable. The pizza itself was essentially just glorified frozen pizza. No joke, I have had frozen pizza that's comparable to what I ate at this establishment. It wasn't horrible, though, and was totally edible. Just don't expect to have a good pizza. There was also an excessive amount of grease coated on our pizza, as shown by the tagged photo. Save yourself the headache and avoid the visit. I will never go here again.More
