The Mustard Seed is a Missoula fave offering fresh Mandarin fare with many choices for hungry visitors, young and old alike. The ambiance is also lovely and service is exquisite. It doesn't matter whether you are eat vegan or meat, your meal will be very special and will taste delicious!

Only Asian restaurant I went to while I Missoula. Food is fun and flavorful. Little more spendy, but worth the price.

We decided to stop for a snack! Neither of us knew really what to expect and we ended up really enjoying it! The waitress was delightful and funny and very attentive!! We ordered the spicy pepper and shrimp dish over rice, it was the perfect spicy, not too hot but def had a kick. We got the Chinese pork, which... More

I worked here in the 80's and looked forward to a meal during a visit to Missoula. Tried a new dish and it came with chicken that must have been prepared hours before and added to my dish, and reheated. Tough. The dish was bland, not like their mainstays. I asked the server to return it to the kitchen, and... More

great food. i think there is something addictive about the chicken osoka. we visit every time we are in Missoula (at least once) and have never been disappointed in the food. the restaurant is always busy and service can be slow. not a quite place. check out the noodle express for faster food, but i still like the dinning experience.

This place started in Missoula in the 1970s and has expanded to locations in Spokane WA to Billings MT. The Chicken Osaka salad with ginger dressing is to die for and we have that for lunch when ever nearby. The Fireworks Chicken is an example of many recipes that have an Asian taste but truly unique and delicious.

I am a Missoula Native and my family has loved the Mustard Seed from the time it opened more than 35 years ago. I long ago left my home town, but return a few times a year, and no trip is complete without lunch or dinner at the Mustard Seed. The food is consistently excellent, the service is great, the...
