I worked here in the 80's and looked forward to a meal during a visit to Missoula. Tried a new dish and it came with chicken that must have been prepared hours before and added to my dish, and reheated. Tough. The dish was bland, not like their mainstays. I asked the server to return it to the kitchen, and... More

great food. i think there is something addictive about the chicken osoka. we visit every time we are in Missoula (at least once) and have never been disappointed in the food. the restaurant is always busy and service can be slow. not a quite place. check out the noodle express for faster food, but i still like the dinning experience.

I love eating here and eat here at least once/month. I love the chicken and rice dishes with Asian slaw. The sauce is so delicious

This place started in Missoula in the 1970s and has expanded to locations in Spokane WA to Billings MT. The Chicken Osaka salad with ginger dressing is to die for and we have that for lunch when ever nearby. The Fireworks Chicken is an example of many recipes that have an Asian taste but truly unique and delicious.

I am a Missoula Native and my family has loved the Mustard Seed from the time it opened more than 35 years ago. I long ago left my home town, but return a few times a year, and no trip is complete without lunch or dinner at the Mustard Seed. The food is consistently excellent, the service is great, the... That had to be the worst Asian food I have ever eaten. Ok, we had it delivered, not the smartest move. We ordered chicken teriyaki, sweet and sour pork, and spring rolls. It came with rice and a sauce. When it arrived it was at best like warm. But none of the food had any flavor. It was like eating... More

Love, Love, Love the Mustard Seed, the best Asian Food in Montana!!! I have two favorite entrees when I visit the Mustard Seed Chicken Osaka & Maui Chicken (today Maui Chicken won-see photo). My favorite appetizer (that I didn't have today) is the Shrimp Wontons.

This is an "Asiatic" restaurant. The decor was typical mid-america, tables and booths. The service was timely and appropriate. My family enjoyed oriental turkey, I loved the sweet and sour pork, best I'd had since visiting China. Prices were appropriate. Highly recommended.

Thank David J
