Greeter sat us on the deck and handed us our menus. 25 minutes later my wife asked the waiter if we could order. He was overwhelmed. We gave it another 5 and left disappointed by a normally well run machine.

I wouldn't recommend it or come back. I walked in without a reservation and they were very accommodating, I finally got sitted and that's when everything started. I ordered a bottle or Burdeaux but they didn't have it and I had to change to a...Malbec, no big deal, it took forever to come out, then I ordered the charcuterie (antipasti) and surprisingly came quick, that's it. Never saw my server again, and I was clear when I ordered the charcuterie, I told him I was going to order actual dinner, he walked by me many times I made eye contact trying to have his attention and he just totally ignored me multiple times, I pulled my card out to pay and go have dinner somewhere else but he continued to ignore, me, Not exaggerating an hour went by and I had to hand my card to a busser to pay and leave, so annoying, so frustrating.More

The River was beautiful that day weather nice for fall. Loved it the drinks and extra's like cruton's were very tasty along with some special toast they had along side. The salad was so big had to bring some home.

Our early evening meal at the Finn restaurant was enjoyable despite the miserable atmosphere created by the spacing and lack of warmth due to there being no clothes or table decorations of any kind. The menu is greatly restricted from our memories of previous visits...- practically no fish, a main feature in the past. Service was prompt and friendly. We opted for the antipasti platter which was generous and of good quality. Steak frites well prepared and cooked properly to our order. Good wine list though somewhat expensive for the menu offered.More

Snuck down for happy hour & made the most of it. Surprisingly enough, the happy hour oysters (no, NOT Rocky Mountain oysters!!!!) were fresh, firm, and very tasty. We also profited from their nice selection of locally distilled spirits (particularly The Montgomery single malt!) We...enjoyed a credibly workmanlike French onion soup and salmon. One simply can't beat the view directly on the river. Sublime, that!More

I had both breakfast and dinner while staying at the adjoining hotel. Let's start with dinner- the restaurant was surprisingly busy at 9pm weekday, but I was seated immediately, and a waiter asked for my drink order. I was unsure about the wines by glass,...so he brought me two tasters (rather large tasters), and they were both good. I chose one, and it went well with the fall-off-bone pork shank I then ordered. A nice salad, potatoes, veg. all came with the $26 entree. The meat portion was huge. Ambience is modern minimalist, with a gorgeous view out to the Clark Fork River, and in winter with a bit of snow flying, quite surreal. Service was crisp but unobtrusive. This is a class act! Breakfast- a nicely done 3 egg TexMex omelette was no disappointment either. Lots of guacamole and salsas/hot sauces at the ready. Fresh juice and decent coffee. They brought me GF toast at no surcharge, which was v. nice. I'd come back in a flash.More

This is not an ordinary hotel restaurant. The breakfast service was excellent and the Eggs Benedict were excellent. We had a window table looking out over the river and some snow on the mountains. Note: I went back in the evening for a light snack,...and had a great Caesar salad. The place was nearly full with some from the hotel but mostly locals. A bit expensive but very good.More

We’ve eaten at this restaurant in its various iterations over the years. The newest version is ‘Finn’, having dropped the ‘and Porter’ portion. Unfortunately, they also dropped variety with the name change. Finn remains a great deal for happy hour visits with small plates, nice...well drinks and great beer selection along with their yummy pizza. But the regular menu has been truncated and offers maybe only 6 options along with a pared down plate (sides are extra) and much higher prices. Servings are modest and not a great value for the price. ($34 for 4 seared scallops). I am all for paying staff living wages and we are generous tippers but we won’t be eating here as regularly as we did. The quality for our NY Eve meal was tasty, although the steamer clams were quite spicy. I especially enjoyed the fried fennel served with bacon jam. Service was pleasant but could have been a little more attentive to bringing bread and refilling water and wine. Others in our party had the Prix Fixe dinner and raved at how good it was.More

We went to Finn for their Christmas dinner buffet, and it was excellent. Plenty of appetizers, entrees and desserts to choose from. The service was very good, and we did not feel rushed at all. They were very busy, and I hope they will continue...with the brunch and dinner buffets in 2020. Would definitely return!More
