A Pasty is Cornish in origin and were traditionally carried into the Butte mines and Anaconda Smelter in their lunch pails - often called " a letter from home." They are meat combinations wrapped in pie dough and served like Lisa does with gravy, ketchup or not. A real treat!

As someone raised in Butte, I must say that Lisa's pasty's are better than any commercially available pasties in Butte, Anaconda, or Billings. Large enough to feed two people, filled with quality beef, not ground meat, and perfectly cut potato cubes.

Terrific portions. Good prices. Beef pasty with brown gravy was very good. Expected more seasoning and vegetables. Kind of plain meat and potato. Service was great. Many people take out. You do not go away hungry. Not fancy dining. Casual residential setting. Give it a try

We found this place about 2 years ago. Everything is super yummy. The crust on the pasties is flaky and delicious. The turnovers are excellent as well. The large pasty can be shared or enough for one hungry person. The small ones are great to freeze and eat for later. If you are debating whether or not you should get... More

We love Lisa's pasties!!! Best deal in town! A huge pasty (that honestly could serve two) with gravy, a side of coleslaw and a dessert pasty (turnover) all for $9.75... So good!!!!

I love their Reuben. I've read and heard that other establishments have the "best Reuben in town" (one even claims it right on the menu). Not true! Lisa's is the best, and I have eaten a Reuben at just about every establishment in Missoula that has one in the menu. Actually, I've had everything on Lisa's menu an it's all... More

Lisa's is a fun spot to stop by and enjoy a Letter from Home - what the miners called the Cornish/Irish baked pasties tucked inside the tin lunch boxes. And, Lisa does the tradition proud.

Very simple, warm, friendly small restaurant-nothing fancy----that serves Irish food-pastys especially- that has been so well known in Montana for years. And it is the bet place for the old-fashioned "pork Chop John" sandwich which originate in Butte, also. Not a large place by any means, but they do have great take out, which is a huge part of their... More

This is the place to go for a genuine pasty. Eat in or take out. You can get a whole meal for $10.00 that includes a pastry for desert. Love it. The service is great also!

Lisa's pasties are so good - traditionally the pasties were called "A Letter from Home" by the miners carrying them in their lunch pails. Lisa also offers soup, sandwiches and specials as well.
