Local hang out that has been around for years

Think of Happy Days and you have a good mental image of the Uptown Diner. It has American food cooked to order ( none of that microwave crap). Try the burger, fries and a milkshake. Just like the 50's!

Hearty and tasty breakfast, friendly service and 1950's decor made this an interesting and fun place to start the day.

Went in for breakfast and was acknowledged right away. Server (Linda) was a real delight. She had our water and menus very fast. The menu has many choices and the service is fast. The food is very good American breakfast. Real good stop.

A very quaint diner, has many options and the staff is extremely friendly. I personally love the BELCHT sandwich. Meatloaf is also very good, but you can't go wrong with this diner, whether you want a soda drink or shake. Prices are somewhat reasonable for Missoula.

Excellent breakfasts in a really fun atmosphere. You always see folks you know around town. Service is fast but friendly and you don't feel rushed to eat. Good food, ample portions.

The Uptown Diner is simply a fun place to eat. I go for breakfast as they do great eggs. It is something right out of Happy Days and if you look very carefully, you might see The Fonz cooking in the back. All the food is fresh and a very good value. My favorite thing to order here is the... More

Me and my friends stopped by in Missoula for lunch and we enjoyed good food at the Uptown diner, I had a huge Vegetarian dish, which was very tasty. The waitress was friendly, best of all was the delicous gigantic milkshake, I had raspberry chocolate.

This place was soooo good! Homemade tomato soup, grilled cheese (with gluten-free bread available) and delicious huckleberry shakes! We got in just in time to get the last of the creamy tomato soup at lunch, which the diner is known for. I would have been disappointed if we would have missed it! I would love to eat here again when... More

Stopped in for a burger. It was good, but average. They are known for their milkshakes so if that is what you are "hungry" for, it's great. I miss the blue plate specials that were good. Most of all, the place looks older and needs a good update!

went for breakfast as it was close to hotel. Food was average The service was above average. Watched the poor waitress kick out some guys trying to steal food off late that other people left. So entertainment included
