Write a bad review for Scott’s Oasis, my favorite steakhouse on the planet. But dammit, when your website says you are open Monday, then be open Monday. On a trip to The West, I went almost 100 miles out of my way to make sure...I could eat here for the 50+ time. I love this place. Checked the web site to make sure they were open Monday and planned my trip accordingly. Yet on Sunday when I called to make reservations for the only day I would be in Bozeman, “Sorry, we are closed on MONDAY!!??” Change your damn web site then. I slobbered for over 1500 miles thinking of your prime rib, and I got NOTHING. I could have been here on Sunday or Tuesday writing another 5* review. Instead I will slink back in next year or the year after and hope you don’t remember this review.More

The "Oasis" has great great assortment of large Montana sized steak. The accompaniments were also good. It is not cheap, but worth it for a treat.

Decided to stop in for dinner on our vacation to Yellowstone national park. After a little bit of review searching on TripAdvisor, we thought we found a spot to enjoy a decent steak dinner. “Sirloin you could cut with a fork…” sealed the deal on...the review search. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed in the dinner. Medium rare sirloin and shrimp. No option to substitute the potato (baked, French fries, mashed) for any sort of vegetable was a little odd. I guess the mediocre salad with store bought dressing would be enough vegetable for me. The steak was cooked right, and had decent char flavor, but it was just missing something…just a pretty average steak. Living in a tourist town, I expect a markup on some things, but It was hard to justify the 75 bucks for two people (water to drink).More

We were recommded this place by our hotel clerk. We went for dinner, and shared a meal. It came with soup, salad, a large steak, baked potato, garlic brea and ice cream. It was soooo much food, and every bit of it was fantastic. It...was also really reasonable. I would highly recommended this restaurant!More

Don't let the outside of the restaurant/bar fool you. The food is really good. I do suggest making a reservation. My husband had a steak and I had the broasted fried chicken. The meals come with soup, salad, beverage, bread, and dessert. All very good...and very filling.More

It's not the kind of place I'd ordinarily seek out, but the name made it mandatory. Looks like your average hometown bar but something about the characters and quality food make it something more. Service was friendly if slow, but they were packed full of...locals who didn't seem to care, so neither did we. Maybe it was the palm trees behind the bar, in Montana. Maybe it was the friendly family atmosphere as we stood around waiting (make a reservation). Maybe it was the fact that if a train goes by blowing its horn the house buys you a shot of something (plan accordingly). Recommend the steak fingers. Might not sound like much, but there's lots of them and worth the wait.More

Sir Scott’s Oasis is surely one of a kind! The staff was very friendly and prompt. Prime rib was cooked to perfection! A lot of the seafood (and even some of the steak) comes battered/fried, so I asked for my scallops to be pan-seared and...the chef was happy to accommodate! Some of the interior could have been updated a little to match the menu. The decor was conglomeration. Overall, if you’re looking for a unique experience while on the road to Yellowstone, stop by!More

Restaurant was recommended to us by a local. We were celebrating an anniversary and wanted a good steak and seafood for my husband. 8 oz filet was cooked to order correctly and had a great flavor and was tender. Sides were good portions, salad very...fresh, homeade dressing and desert with meal which we passed on. Ice cream. Would return to this restaurant without second thoughts.More

This is not Ruth's or Morton's or Flemings or even Ted's Montana Grill (no bison served here.) It's the steak restaurant that your parents went to that offers a decent steak with all the trimmings - relish tray, crackers, huge salad or house made soup,...potato, garlic toast, chocolate sundae and coffee all for a fixed price. What's not to like? We had the filet, prime rib, and rib eye. I ordered the small rib eye and it still filled the plate. They will bring fresh horseradish if you like. we ordered some mushrooms on the side. The whole dinner costs less than the steak itself at any of the other restaurants. View - you get a view of the parking lot and freight trains going by. I learned how to play machine poker in the lobby. Reservations are made/kept on that night's piece of notebook paper (no Open Table here). They only have indoor dining - the patio cover blew away - but there is decent spacing for 50% capacity inside. The servers are efficient and friendly and work as a team. It's a bit of a drive from Bozeman, but all freeway at 80+ mph. I rate it "excellent" because that's what it is for what it is - no pretense here. I'll be back!More

Not sure, but they could chop it for you. Otherwise, there are many excellent local steaks.
