We stopped by this place on a Sunday morning around 12:00 noon. There was a line of customers and we were told that we were 3rd in line and it'll be about a 30-min wait to be seated. The tables were actually vacated after about...10-min but they were a little short staffed so it took about 15-min for them to be cleared. An extra bus-person sure would have speeded things up. We were seated after exactly 30-min after being on the wait list. We were told that they kitchen was a little backed up and it took 25-min to get our food. We ordered the eggs benedict and a scrambled eggs with sausage platter. Both dishes were very delicious and we really enjoyed the hashed brown. The server was very friendly and efficient. The price was moderate and it was a good value for the money. Despite the slower service, we enjoyed our visit here very much.More

This was kind of an odd experience. Good, but odd. It was really quiet inside without many people, but also feeling like we just shouldn't be talking. We had breakfast here, and it was quite good. Service was good. My Eggs Benedict was slightly above...average, but the rest of it was well above average. It was just a quiet morning, I guess.More

We tried to go to Syke’s prior to leaving Kalispell and decided to walk to Split Rock instead. We loved the decor inside and the menu looked great. Sadly, the service was poor and our waitress only came around twice, once to ask for our...order and then to drop off food. We were waiting for coffees and water for about 20 minutes. I’m not sure if they are understaffed or what. My hash browns also came out cold, so we were quite underwhelmed with the food. The place definitely has potential to be better.... but not a huge fan.More

Having passed by for years I decided to finally stop and have lunch. The space is interesting and in spite of the large room there are enough coves and corners to make it feel cozy. The decor is intriguing with a focus on the piece...behind the bar, said to be an old headboard. I sat at a high top with a view of the room. I ordered a burger substituting a salad for the fries, which I enjoyed but I was not overly impressed. I did enjoy my Chai Latte. The server was pleasant and the service was relaxed, though the check was presented before being ask if I would like anything else. I would go back just to try the breakfast.More

We were looking for a place to eat in the old part of Kalispell and found this one. The service and food was adequate but we would not go out of our way to come again.

I love a place that accommodates it’s customers - they never hesitate to sub out meat and add in a veggie or two on a breakfast for a vegetarian. That’s amazing service. The burrito with hollandaise sauce is delicious. Pancakes are also very yummy. Servers...are always friendly and fast. Would recommend.More

Visited on a road trip. Nice clean spot plenty of space. Good coffee. We had eggs Benedict with avocado and a Denver omelette. Both very good. Minor thing was potatoes were very crispy more like chips but not unpleasant; if you like them done that...way no problem.More

Had the best Chicken Fried Steak I've ever eaten. The service was wonderful and the historic building was gorgeous. I especially liked the stain glass. Make sure and look down the hallway to see the old pictures showing how it looked as a merchantile.
