The couple who run this are the nicest. The sauteed vegetables were very good. The Egg Roll tasted like the cooking oil had gone bad. The sweet and sour chicken had no vegetables and was nothing special. Too bad because the people were especially nice and accommodating. If they are trying to save money on their menu they might consider... More

As a Chinese American, I'm fairly confident I know good Chinese food when I taste it. The food here was better and more authentic than most Chinese restaurants I've experienced in the New York City area. Given the mixed reviews, we almost didn't drop in but I'm very glad our curiosity won. For starters, people shouldn't kvetch about the service.... More

PROS: a short walk from hotels; Chinese food with big servings; good selection of items. CONS: since they are cooking everything fresh, your order may take awhile.

We arrived very late in the evening and called ahead to make sure to tell them we were coming before they closed, and they were very accomodating. The portions were huge, however, the white rice does not come with the meal, we had to buy it seperately,

My sesame chicken was just terrible. Bland and gummy to the point where it was almost impossible to chew. Some people I was traveling with had tofu with mixed veggies and were disappointed. No one finished their meal. You'll probably get tired of burgers and pizza after a few days in Gardiner, but this is not a good alternative.

As the title suggests, I don't normally give 1 star reviews, but this is, hands down, the worst Chinese restaurant I've ever eaten at. My wife and I are NOT picky eaters, but we both barely ate our food and threw the rest away. Plus the interior was disgusting. Seriously. Dried crusty bits on the drapes, floor was nasty. Ugh.... We got tired of eating burgers and fries. The sautéed broccoli, lo mein and fried rice were acceptable and better than eating burgers.

I must say that this restaurant was kind of a let down. The person who I assume was probably one of the owners doesn't speak English very well, in fact everyone that came into the restaurant was non English speaking customers. The restaurant was kind of run down and a bit messy. Your soda pop comes in a can and... More
