There aren't a lot of places in the wonderful little town of ENNIS, MT.....so, I always want to say the best about everyone of them that is there......and the AB is one that is open year round in this small seasonal resort.....which gets my BIG...KUDOS.....we need more places like it!
Unfortunately, I have have a couple of really bad meals here.....one was chicken that was cold and pink on the inside....come on.....you always hear that one of the most important aspects of a restaurant is consistency......well, sadly that hasn't been my experience, and I am sincerely sad to have to say this.More

Husband and I wanted a good place to eat during the Ennis Christmas Stroll. Country wholesome foods, served in a comfortable cozy atmosphere. Bowling alley next door is a hoot. Burn off dinner calories afterwards by playing a game. Riedel wine glasses! Who knew?! Margaux...was a knowledge server and took car of us in style. Red Wine was perfect temp. You will have a delicious home style meal. Pizza's have a reputation for being great as well. Highly recommend.More

You can count on your meal at Alley Bistro as "Always Good." We've never had a bad meal there! Especially when John is in the kitchen! Whether you are in the mood for pizza or pot roast, chicken or prawns, you can count on the...meal being prepared perfectly and served by a delightful wait staff. The atmosphere is casual. The prices are competitive. The wine list is adequate. Bring a friend. You'll be glad you did!More

Thank you for the nice review! We truly appreciate your business! John and Shannon
This place shares the building with a bowling alley but the restaruant side is nice and the food was very good. The only negative was that the server forgot our appetizer. We would go back. We had four people, 4 entrees, 3 beers, 2 glasses...of wine, $103 before tip.More

This is a totally laid back, local place. The is bigger thane would think, and the wait staff are super efficient and friendly. We went there 2 nights a row because we enjoyed it. The Chicken Fried steak was very good.

I did have a delicious lunch. There is an old fashioned soda fountain and I had the best milkshake I have had in years. The menu is interesting. There are a lot of half sandwiches and salads which makes ordering the shake easier. Huckleberry was...in and the shake was delicious.More
Alley Bistro provides a respite from the more typical fare one encounters in a small town in Montana. I enjoyed a dinner including shrimp cargot and beef pot roast. The quality was quite good, though not what I would call superb. No, there's nothing wrong...with the quality, it's just my assessment of the product.
Servings are generous, and I found no room for dessert. Service was excellent. Prices are a bit much, though in the big picture, they are what the region will bear. I would stop by when next in Ennis, but forgoing the appetizer, and leaving room for dessert.More
