If you happen to be in the tiny town of Cooke City, Bearclaw Bakery has the best breakfast in the whole Yellowstone area. It's hard to find good food in a remote area like Yellowstone, even harder to find decently priced food. Bearclaw Bakery has both. It has everything from breakfast scrambles, french toast, biscuits and gravy to delicious pastries... More

We stopped at Cooke City a couple of times on our trip around Yellowstone National Park. We were so happy to find this place: free Wi-Fi, friendly staff, wonderful pastries and great drinks. The staff were even happy to make my tea the way I like it (the British way, with boiling water, not the lukewarm stuff you usually get... More

About the only place in town that morning for a real coffee and pastry. Price was excellent and highly recommend the fresh cinnamon rolls.

This place embodies the flavor of quirky Cooke City---a combination café and repair shop! Friendly, excellent value, excellent breakfast---and the breakfast tacos were the best we have ever had, so we went back for more the next day.

Though I've been to Cooke City multiple times, this was my first experience at the Bearclaw Bakery. What a find!!! The lady who makes the pastries is fabulously friendly. The pastries are decadent, filling and definitely make you want more. We returned several times and were never disappointed. I loved the "shop atmosphere" which reminded me of a 1960's establishment... More

We tried pastries 'to go' one morning and stayed there and had breakfast sandwiches the next day. The food was excellent, with large portions, but kind of expensive which I guess is due to the captive audience in Cooke City. Only a few tables are available.

We wanted to head into the park early and this was the only place in Cooke City open at 6 am. It is limited seating 20 or so but everyone the day we were there were so friendly they let you sit with them and the talk was where are the wolves today. The breakfast couldn't have been better and... More
