We stopped by for lunch. We were a little surprised by the cafeteria style way they handle lunch and almost left. I am so glad we didn't. They offer 2 prepared specialties and a variety of salads. My husband had a roast beef sandwich on...More

The restaurant was conscientious about guests safety during the covid pandemic . We were not seated close to other folks but had a good table with an uptown view. The blackened sole and the seafood pasta were delicious as was the Creme Brule.

A fabulous choice for dinner. The atmosphere is European. The food is western with a flair. The food was excellent, I loved the duck in huckleberry sauce. Our server was bubbly and charming. This restaurant makes me sad we don’t live in Butte!

I've experienced the Uptown over the past 15 years, and although Butte has seen the very welcome debut of other much needed eateries (which I've mostly tried), Uptown Cafe is still the best--in food quality, range of menu offerings, and--in particular--value. This is not to...More

We didn't need a reservation; the restaurant was not terribly busy. You don't need to dress up, but I wouldn't go in shorts and t-shirt, either.
