I don't normally write reviews but I ordered the hand tossed ravioli and it only come with 5... when I made a comment about this they gave me a new one but then told me that's the normal proportion. It is $26 dollars and is...not near worth the price for how little you get. Just fair warning the proportions are ridiculous for the price you have to pay. However, I can't speak for the rest of the food but you should definitely not get the ravioli.More

THE BEST! Romantic and warm, fresco never disappoints. Mario made our night fun and special, seeing such a hard worker execute every order with poise and perfection is a treat in itself. Go to Fresco and bask in the beauty of a good service and...amazing food.More

My visit to this restaurant yesterday was a let down after several people had recommended it. I had the Flatbread Puttanesca. The base was so thin that it was crispy and crunchy - not what I was expecting for a flatbread. The toppings were sparse...and I only found ONE Kalamata olive in the whole dish. For $15 I think this is a rip off. My co-diner had the lasagna and was asked if he wanted Italian sausage with it. He was not informed till the bill came that that was $5 extra. Our tiramasu desserts were stodgy and not light and fluffy as one would expect. Our young waitress was very pleasant.More

I finally dined at Fresco after 4 years of living in bozeman, and I can't believe I waited this long. It sets the perfect date night atmosphere. The restaurant is set back from the road next to a creek which really makes the mood feel...serene. I ordered the special entreé and my fianceé ordered the pesto cavatapi. Both were excellent. I'm considering returning for dinner again tonight, and in a town that is saturated with top notch restaurants, that is saying something. House red wine was also tasty. It also really isn't that expensive, especially if a memorable $20-30 entreé is worth it to you. We ordered 2 entreés, 2 salads, 2 glasses of wine, and 2 espressos for $80. Highly recommend.More

Wow. We stumbled on this gem while poking around downtown Bozeman and loved the airy, brook side patio and open interior. Excellent and reasonably priced Italian food with a sophisticated wine list. Portions are very ample. My husband and split an enormous salad with apples,...cheese, walnuts and lettuces, then he and our son split a pesto pasta. My pasta puttanesca was divine and our starters—bruschetta and the herbed bread with tapenade and roasted garlic—were also excellent. Great atmosphere, excellent service, good food and fair prices.More

My wife had the special and I had the ravioli and both were excellent. Fresco Cafe is a quaint place with a cool atmosphere. Highly recommend for Italian food while in Bozeman. You will be glad you did.

Well darn. I was really excited to try this place and the ambiance is pleasurable and the service was great but the food was a let down. There were too many tomatoes in the Caesar salad. Also, why does a Caesar salad have tomatoes in...it??? Furthermore, I’ve never had a spaghetti and meatballs that’s piled with ricotta cheese on top and the tomato sauce was too watery. It seems like the kitchen staff could use some help/training.More

We were there for a late lunch. Ceasar dressing was tasteless; no lemon or anchovies. Only ceasar salad we have seen with tomatoes. The French onion soup could have had more intense beef flavor in the broth and some salt. The spaghetti and meatballs had...3 lumps of remarkably tasteless ricotta cheese. The pasta did not taste homemade. It may have been left under a heat lamp as part of it was quite hard and dried out. The lasagna was ok, but certainly not one of the better lasagnas I have had. We are foodies in our late 60s who travel and know good Italian food when we find it.More

The place is tucked away off the street on Mendenhall just west of Rouse. My wife and I split a gorgonzola dressing salad which was pretty good. I had spaghetti carbonara and my wife ordered spinach cannelloni. There was nothing special about either dish. The...cannelloni was very bland. She liked it; I would never order it. My carbonara was too heavy and all stuck together. I think they used too much wine as the dish was bitter. I wouldn't order it again. My glass of white Orvietto was OK but tasted as though the bottle had been open too long I don't know why this restaurant can't be on top of its game. Downtown Bozeman needs a place like this. How hard is it to master a few classic pasta recipes and some other classic Italian dishes? It's not a big place so a well trained kitchen crew should be able to handle it. I gave this a 4 star rating because it is better than average, if average is Pasta Garden. But if you want really good Italian, try Blacksmith Italian off Kagy. It's worth going the extra distance.More
