I'm rate Don Luis a 4 because of the Pork enchiladas. The pork was super moist on the inside. We showed up at 15 minutes before close on Monday night and the food was fresh and very tasty. Their chips seem to be store bought but came to the table crisp and warn. So for a late night stop for... More

If you can manage to figure out which door to get thru the restaurant, you will be met with a menu that in writing at the bottom says they charge for extra chips and salsa. Once you are past that insanity you will get to the old salsa. Bleh. Not fresh in any way, shape or form. As for my... More

First of all it's in a nice location downtown. The waitresses were really nice and friendly. The problem I have is when I come to a Mexican restaurant I'm expecting them to have the delicious Mexican drink horchata . Unfortunately this restaurant did not have it 😞 . The food was okay. But the prices were really high. Probably won't... More

Located in the city center, Don Luis serves a surprisingly good Mexican cuisine for being that far north of the Rio Grande. I am from southern California, and we known our Mexican cuisine, The spicy salsa was the first that this was going to be a good meal.

Went here for dinner based on a reccomendation. Nice enterior. Seated promptly and chips and salsa were brought quickly. As we cruised the menu, we saw little that looked familiar. The least expensive thing I saw on the menu was about $10.99 for a salad. We decided to go elsewhere. I could see $60 for Mexican and a couple drinks... More

On a trip to Billings in June 2016, we checked Trip Advisor for advice on where to eat and checked out Don Luis Mexican restaurant. Although there were several large parties enjoying celebrations that evening, we were seated right away at a comfortable table. We chose two house specials: I had the El Azteca and my husband had the Carnitas... More

Didn't expect much, but was pleasantly surprised about the variety, flavor and freshness of the food. The meat was perfectly cooked, not too little nor too much. The beans were very flavorful. Was a little worried about splitting an order of the street tacos, but seeing how many people were boxing up the remains of their meals and based on... More

Ate there with my daughter and I thought it was very good food. The flautas were very good and the salsa was excellent. I will definitely go back. Best mexican food in Montana in my opinion.

Awesome authentic Mexican menu. Not too hot or spicy, but they have the goods to make it hot if you like it that way!!! Huge portions for the cost.

The chef creates meals based on what he would like to attempt next. He mixes Mexican with "whatever" and you will love it. I had a spinach enchilada with a white sauce and it was delicious!!!
