Excellent breakfast in the heart of downtown Billings. Perfect window lined corner location with a great old-school feel. Portions and large, well prepared, and tasty. My wife and I had different Benedicts and both were excellent, and the potatoes were great as well.

Everything was great! I had the Avocado and Tomato Benedict. The only downside is that there is a state mandate to wear a mask while walking around. There were people not wearing masks and employees didn’t say anything.

First thing in the morning I need coffee! And what a pleasant surprise Bernies is! It is a cute, bright, windowed diner on a corner in Downtown. The coffee mugs are quantity oriented (for the coffee guzzler like me), and the friendly, attentive service kept...them filled, and even sent us out later with to-go cups! I don’t always eat breakfast, but couldn’t resist the menu. We had the breakfast burrito, adding the green chili over top and avocado inside, which complimented the pulled pork and chorizo stuffings and served with a side of berries. It was giant! Also offered were smaller dishes served quickly with a friendly manner. This diner could be a daily stop for me!More

Our waitress was very kind and attentive. She has worked here for quite some time and it showed. She knew what to recommend and what to stay away from! The food was what i expected from a diner style restaurant. The biscuit was very different...than what one is likely accustomed to. It was earthy and herb filled, which paired well with their sausage links but sometimes you just need a big fluffy buttermilk beauty underneath that blanket of heavenly gravy!More

always think of this diner after hours have closed, I believe they close at 3 pm and I seldom eat restaurant meals before that hour. The Country Fried Steak & eggs was worth getting around earlier to enjoy! very delicious and seasoned just right!

I am not much of a breakfast person, but breakfast at Bernie's was not just the best breakfast I've ever had in a restaurant but one of the best meals of any kind I've ever had at a restaurant. The Kobe and eggs was excellent....The service was good too. THe decor is fun and it's nice and bright and clean. Even if you're not staying at the Northern, this is a restaurant worth going to.More

Stopped in for breakfast this AM. Took a seat at the counter, normally expect quick service sitting at a counter. Ordered right away and had a cup of coffee. After waiting patiently for close to 30 minutes, I flagged my waitress down and requested she...check on my order as I had been here quite some time. With a scowl on her face, she literally barked at me "I know, but I have been busy on room service". I advised her to cancel my order and left for somewhere more customer oriented. This is the worst service I have had in at least 10 years, and I eat out a lot. Can't speak to the food, never got that far.More

Great breakfast in a great hotel! Every was “large”....starting with the coffee cup! Lots of yummy things on the menu...hard to decide! We ordered The Rancher and the Stuffed Banana Bread French Toast.....both were too large to finish....but delicious!!

Looking for a lunch on a Sunday in downtown Billings was no easy task. I was happy to find Bernie’s Diner open. From the moment I walked in I liked it - the counter-style seating was great and the bright, cheerful atmosphere was most inviting....I enjoyed a T.A.B.S. Melt (turkey sliced off the frame, avocado, crispy bacon and melted Swiss on a grilled roll). The fresh turkey was a real treat and it was nice and moist which was a bonus. My sandwich came with several side choices - I had the homemade chili which was thick and tasty. Service was attentive and friendly. I had a chance to interact with the chef as well who was very personable in addition to cranking out some good eats! Downtown location is great - right off the lobby of the Northern Hotel.More
