Who would think, but this place is the most authentic Thai I have had in the USA. Green curry was so very much like what we had in Thailand. Low key environment, but first class food. Treat yourself and go here!

Excellent Thai food. Good service and a nice atmosphere Portions were small for the price paid, then again Billings isn't an inexpensive place to eat out, compared to other towns / cities. Thoroughly enjoyed my red curry chicken, a very nice curry indeed. Will be...back!!!More

My daughter absolutely swears by this place. I was not a big Thai person, but, after trying the Pad Thai here, I won’t go anywhere else. It is that good.My daughter swears by the medium spicy pad Thai, but I’m too much of a wimp....I go for mild or no seasoning. The flavor is out of this world, it’s got a touch of everything and leaves a wonderful aftertaste. You also have to try the fried tofu. They do it differently than anybody else. And it is incredible. It actually has a crunchy texture, then with the seasonings that they add; it is phenomenalMore

This restaurant is small, but has a variety of menu items. The food we've tried is attractive and tasty. We loved the fried tofu.

Ordered shrimp and vegetables. Very bland but it should have been spicy so I just picked the shrimp out and threw most of the veggies away.

I've been here twice for lunch. I hoped the first time was a fluke, and decided to give it another try. Was even more disappointed the 2nd time. First, I have to admit I am a spicy green curry lover. So that's all I've tried....I do like the fact that they have a lunch menu, while the other 2 (Billings) Thai Restaurants on tripadvisor only serve dinner menu at lunch time. But just serving a lunch menu is not enough for a good rating. The flavors did not compare to the Thai Food I'm used to, being from California. The curry was very thin and runny, and was mostly just sauce. Had to wonder where the chicken and vegetables were. I'm a light eater, but the lunch portion wasn't even enough to satisfy. Soup cup was filled to about a third. Salad, just lettuce, was served on a saucer, and still didn't cover half the plate. Maybe dinners here are better, but I won't be giving them another chance!More

This restaurant is small, but has a big menu. The service is slow at times, but the food is amazing. Their tea is really good, too.

My wife and I joined five other friends for dinner at Cham Thai in Billings, MT on a Friday evening. We were walk-in customers. Even though there were only two other tables with customers, the male host was upset and a bit rude in suggesting...that we had not made reservations for a group larger than 6 and that Friday was their busy night. We offered to split our group but he would have none of that. Finally, he seated us anyway at two combined tables. As we left the restaurant an hour later, only two more tables had been filled and there were still several empty tables available. (You can find similar reviews about their Friday night reservation requirement on Goodle Reviews - it seems to be a pattern here) The female server was very friendly and helpful. Most of us had not been there before and were ordering our spicy hot meals with "medium heat". The server suggested that we down grade the "heat" because their heat levels were pretty strong. My wife heeded her advice and ordered mild. I ordered medium on my Kung Pao Chicken. I like spicy food, but the medium was definitely hotter than most Asian food restaurants where I have eaten - my mistake - I was warned. The flavor of the KPC was delicious. My wife liked her meal but did not finish it all. She took the remainder home in a small take-out box. When she heated it up today, it smelled so yummy that I wish she had enough for me, too. The meals were served with a choice of white or brown rice. They have five heat levels for their spiciness: None, Mild, Medium, Hot, Extra Hot. I expect my wife and I will eat here again. They have a large menu and the prices are moderate. The seven of us ate for $83 plus tip. Cham Thai also serves lunch. I rate Cham Thai as a 4 for food quality, 5 for value, and a 2 or 3 for service (based on the rude male host).More
