Ate here twice while in Big Timber. I'm assuming people dine here for the ambiance, as the hotel dining area is very nice. The food is good, but not great. Service is good and friendly, although I walked to the bathroom and heard one employee complaining to another about "not wanting to be here." I guess we all have those... More

We stopped in for lunch on our way to Billings Mt and what a wonderful lunch! Juiciest burger ever! My husband had the Boulder brisket sandwich with hand made chips. He loved it too! Great restaurant find in a cute little town. Certainly worth stopping in for lunch. They close at 2:00 each day to get ready for dinner menu... More

Traveling across Montana toward Red Lodge and the Beartooth Mountain Highway, we stumbled upon this small town with an excellent restaurant. Don't be put off by the lackluster building exterior or the fact the rest of the town has gone to bed. The Grand Hotel restaurant interior was a welcoming step back in time. The professional young greeter set the... More

The Grand Hotel Saloon is a nice surprise in this small town. The chef is excellent and the menu quite varied. I would highly recommend when visiting the area.

Whether in the bar or the restaurant, everything we've ever eaten at the Grand has been good. It's a great place to stop for dinner if you've been fishing nearby or just on I90 near Big Timber.

We came here on a Friday evening with a wedding party. The bartenders and waitresses here were great! They were very accommodating for the large group of wedding attendees. The drinks were cheap and strong! Not to mention the hotel was beautiful.

We stayed in the Grand Hotel and rated it 5/5. However, we didn't think the Saloon was as good as we hoped. I paid $39 for a steak with mashed potato which was ok but definitely not worth the price - I've had much better steaks in this region for a fairer price. We found the service to be a... More

Great place for steak and burgers. Can be busy or slow depending on the day. The Grand Steak Dinner is a simple a great choice. Good Montana beer selection.

Our meal here was average. I had the Buffalo burger and it was very tough and not tender like I've had at other places. Dinner for a family of four was over $100 (this only included one beverage). It was not the best meal of our week long trip but it was the most expensive. If we come through this... More

We showed up here during the middle of a very busy dinner time on Friday night. All tables were full but we only waited 10 minutes. Our waitress was very friendly. We weren't looking for a fancy dinner but enjoyed a great fried green tomatoes appetizer, cold drinks, and a great burger and fries. Service was fast, everything was great.... More
