Love this place, more action in summer, but Summit is always the best place on the mountain. Gotta go heading back there right now.

Great location near the chair lifts, next to the mall, and attached to the hi-rise, this place looks good, but has extremely slow service, and the food was very average. Wait time on a nice June day when we were the only patrons on the patio took over a half an hour for a grilled cheese sandwich and a salad.... More

We went here several times on our ski trip in Feb. Always good service, good food, and great live music. We enjoyed the comfortable padded chairs after a long day on the slopes. Don't miss this place if you ski Big Sky.

This restaurant is incredibly conveniently located in mountain village really close to the lifts. By design the demand will be here. There are only a few tables and it can get busy around lunchtime and apres ski. However, it is still comfortable. You will have to wait for food because it's prepared elsewhere and brought over. The veggie entree is... More

If you read my review of The Peaks restaurant in The Summit Lodge, you know I'm not a big fan of the food in the Summit. Carabiner is fine for drinks and bar food. Anything past that and you'll be sorry. You have to be patient also, because the service is slow and they don't buss tables very quickly either.... More

Very good service and menu offered nice variety for lunch time. Great location by ski slopes so it was easy to come in and get back out on the slopes. The meals/portions are just enough to sustain until dinner. Atmosphere is pleasant but crowded since the chairs seem too big for the tables. Will go back here on next visit... More

We ate here a couple of times during a 2 week stay in Big Sky. Nice atmosphere (live music on most evenings), good food and a reasonable beer selection made for a pleasant evening. I had the chilli on one evening and the bison sliders on the other, whilst my wife had the chicken caesar salad and salmon salad. All... More
