Excellent menu, service and ambiance. We ate here three times in two weeks as the food was wonderful and the service impeccable. The wine selection was pretty good and the prices were reasonable. The veal and chicken piccata were the bomb.
Passing through Big Sky from Yellow Stone and decided to stop and eat dinner here. Made us sit at the bar which made us feel uncomfortable yet people were sitting in booths and they weren't busy. Just had a salad and husband had bison pasta...said it didn't taste any better than canned store bought ravoli. $33 with tip someplace else would have been better. When we got back to where we were staying we stopped and ate again.More
Jenny was a terrible server. Very rude. Food was good but bad service made it just ok. Did not even ask about dessert because we just wanted to leave. Worst service I had in years. Just do rude, and this is coming from a county...boy. Go eat somewhere where else where you might feel welcome.More
At the last minute, my family of 6 attempted to get a reservation at Michaelangelo's using the online service and it was completely booked. I called and the front desk guy said he could get us in if we could be there in 15 minutes....The traffic at the one-way bridge wasn't cooperating and we were pretty late, however, they still got us a table for 6 even after showing up 35 minutes later.
The wine and dinner menus had a great selection and variety of items to choose from. Everyone in our group had no problem finding something to their liking. We had the heirloom tomato and fresh bread, bolognese, salmon, risotto, cavatelli, grigliata mista and a nice bottle of Oregon Pinot Noir.
Overall, it was a great experience. It was our most expensive meal of our trip but we went in knowing it was going to be on the high side. Price to value is a bit high bit maybe not for the area.More
Our family of six enjoyed our meal overall. Gnocchi, tortellini and arugula salad were all excellent. Tiramisu and crème brulee were also excellent. Would be great to have more options for smaller kids - only options were butter noodles and flat noodles that were a...bit dry with a bolognaise sauce.More
Delicious food, prepared to order with fresh, homemade ingredients. The service was top notch and the decor sophisticated Western. I at the Arugula salad and pasta bolognese which were amazing. My husband had an alfredo tortellini that was to die for. We also tried a...few desserts- Chocolate mousse and Tira Misu. Would return any time- great place for a special meal!More
Big Sky has multiple places to get a pizza but had no serious Italian restaurant until Michaelangelo's opened. Suitably wide menu with more than Neopolitan tomato based dishes. Service was Montana friendly and seamless between three servers. Food, entrees and desserts both, was excellent. Selections...of whiskeys and wines for every taste. Recommended!More
