This ia a decent place for food. The presentation of the food is good especially the skewers. The food is tasty but nothing is really standing out positively or negative ly. The place is fairly dark inside following their middle ages theme. Friendly staff.

We were total 4ppl and came to Alchymista restaurant to celebrate a Twins birthday dinner. Such stunning, extra ordinary interior design and nice ambience. Different corners and unique decorations drew us attention all the time. Perfect hospitality and not to forget the angel smile of...the waitress with long hair plus careful humble boss! Highlight was the fabulous and heavenly delicious food! Incredible presentation ..Love the insane design of the skewers, stuffed potato broccoli, golem spell and pork with fried egg ham!! Appreciated for the huge surprise birthday choco cake plus lovely candle and written words ! Thank you for two special *A* badge gifts for twins. Keep it up!More

We were passing through the town on our way to Prague and needed dinner (on a Sunday). This place turned up on a quick google search but we were worried about going in as neither of us speak a word of Czech. We needn't have...worried. Between them, the staff speak fluent English and German and they have menus in English too. The service was excellent, the beer well poured and very tasty. The food....... The food is excellent. Interesting presentation and delicious too. Even their simple garlic bread I can't praise enough. Lots of garlic!More

We came here on a saturday night without a reservation, we managed to get one of the last tables. Service was quick and friendly (even provided a translated menu without having to ask) The food is great, with a wonderful selection of Czech cuisine and...generic european food. The portions are huge, be careful not to order too much. I really enjoyed the experience, the atmosphere is authentic and relaxed.More

Often I've been to restaurants in Budweis and found that something was missing from the plate or that the restaurant was adding too much extra filling on the side to make up for their lacking main dish. That is not the case here. The main...dishes are very unique and you will certainly not be missing on the flavors. There is nothing bland or too powerful here, and each main dish is accompanied by a unique combination of vegetables and light sauces. And definitely try the croquettes (the best I've ever had). The environment, the heavy chairs, and the dress of the staff makes you feel like you've indeed jumped back to the middle ages. The staff is also the most friendly in town. It may not be saying much, for Czech restaurant service, I find, is mostly lacking, but here, the service rivals anybody. Great work!More

We ate here on our first night in Prague. What a joy, excellent staff, great wine and superb food. We started with the local soup and ravioli , outstanding. Next , two chose the pheasant with sprouts again, great, one of us chose fish and...the other filet mignon. The tart tatin was delicious. For such a lovely meal the price was not OTTMore
