Nice place near to Moldau river. Amazing view from the terrace. Very good food for reasonable prices - especially duck with dumplings.

In one word excellent!! Staff, meal, dessert. Nice and kind smilling people, dilicious menu. I can warmly recommend this restaurant!

This restaurant we have visited several times and have always been satisfied. Service, food and ambience was excellent although the terrace next to the main road. Staff is in terms of customer service beyond reproach and the menu always contains some interesting dishes from which...you certainly will select each and everyone can try a specialty. I have eaten at Fregatta numerous times over the past 2 years with my wife and friends. This restaurant offers truly a wonderful dining experience just outside the heart of Prague. It's location along the river with surrounding high hills creates a feeling not found...anywhere else in the city. My wife and I usually opt for the Coq au Vin and duck entrees as they never dissapoint. I had the beef steak last time I was there, and while I usually avoid this in Czech Resaurants, they had me wanting to come back for more. I definitely recommend eating at Fregatta as it provides upscale food and atmosphere at a very reasonable price.More

We have eaten there five of us and 2 small kids (4 and 2) and have been very happy by the service and food provided. You can find there precisely made Czech meals as well as European meals like like French classy Coq au vin...or different types of pasta made Italian style. All meals we´ve eaten looked and tasted great and fresh. Staff was friendly and helpful - especially with our kids. They have moved us to their non- smoking space and given us drawing pencils and coloring papers... Non- alcoholic beer on the draft has been tasting actually better than most of light beers 8o) We have moved downstairs to their coffee shop where I have tasted by far the best sweets in Europe.. The only downside was inability to communicate in English of the lady in the sweet shop.Therefore, order your desert through restaurant staff (you can chose any from the sweet shop too) if you do not want to challenge any communication problem downstairs.More

I was in the area for 2 weeks and ate here four times with my wife and family. It is a great place to eat, with great service & Czech dining. It is convenient to the great Inn (Villa Gineta) we stayed at. They offer...Czech dishes like meats, duck, goose, trout and more with dumplings, cabbage and salads + great desserts. Their desserts come from their sweet shop that is downstairs and they are very good. The view from the restaurant is beautiful. The restaurant sits in a valley next to the Viltava river which is picturesque. They have a bar and a separate non-smoking section. I would recommend Fregatta as the place to eat if you are south of Prague!!More
