My favorite dim sum spot. The shu mai are always good and I always get the hot and sour soup during the winter. The sticky rice in lotus leaf is also a favorite.

Wow! We haven’t been in quite some time but remember it being the place for authentic & delicious Chinese food. Not tonight! We ordered online—first time for that. No mention that you must order rice because we didn’t get any with our food order. I...asked for mooshu pork—we got chicken. I asked them to roll the pancakes for us— they did not; no green onions and the “pancakes” were flour tortillas—yes, they were. Orange chicken? I think they forgot the sauce— it was basically fried chicken pieces with a little something on it and a few pieces of orange rind. We also had black pepper beef which was pretty bland & flavorless. The beef was pretty nice pieces of what looked like lean flank steak in a brown sauce with lots of onions and a few pieces of chopped pepper. And to top It off, there was only one woman working that we could see. She could not find our order when we came in and finally handed my husband a stack of papers and told him to find our order. She didn’t speak good English, so that may have been part of the issue. The restaurant has seen better days. It looks dirty and very old inside—not well kept. Doesn’t look like a place you’d want to sit down at a table to eat. This was a huge disappointment.More
Kung Pao Chicken. All chicken totally fatty. Very greasy food. Looked like interesting restaurant. Food was disappointing. Did not bother to bring home leftovers. Customer service poor. Large selection menu. First visit. Would not go back.
What I do not like is the parking space. The parking is tight. Surprise that the dim sum is good. Over the years the egg tart have gotten smaller. Now its just bit size. BBQ Pork bun, there was too much sugar syrup. There should...only be enough were the fingers doe not touch it. The typical dim sum dish, har gow and siu mai are good. The BBQ Pork is good, the portion is some what smaller than what I am use to. Then again its the right amount where there are no left over BBQ Pork. The sticky rice wrap in banana leaves have gotten small. From other reviews about the lady at the front. The reviews are correct, she does have an attitude. Be kind. The type of customers that she have to deal with could be the reason for her attitude. There are some customer that are so special, there is nothing you can do to please them. Then there are some customer say that there is a hair in the food. The hair is either blond, brunette or red, while all the employee hair are black.More
Very good and authentic Chinese food. Our best dishes were the fried fish and the Peking duck. Service was good. Plenty of parking.
Went on a Sunday morning with my sons and four grandkids (ages 7-17). We had a wonderful experience. As soon as we sat down the food carts stated coming. Since we have been coming here for years, we have a lot of favorites. They were...delicious as usual.More
WE tried Lu Lu Seafood on a Saturday night at after reading TA reviews. We experienced such a horrendous reception and treatment from a middle aged male waiter when we arrived that we were walking out when the manager intervened and we agreed to stay...if she could give us a different wait person. The service improved when a waitress took our orders. Food was ok, though I was led to believe that the fried fish was lightly battered and fried. The fish was very heavily battered and deep fried. It was enough food for 3 people, and frankly, shockingly unhealthy. But in truth, it was an ordering error on my part and I should have ordered a steamed fish, my original intent. There menu is large and I'm sure there are other good selections. Due to the unusual rudeness of the waiter, who clearly did not want us there, we would probably not return. Still not sure if his issues were due to homophobia or that he did not want a table after 8pm (which seems early for closing on a Saturday and other customers came in after us and sat in his section). Perhaps both.More
I was following a post on social media about bao buns. .. and was not disappointed! Lulu's Seafood & Dim Sum Restaurant was amazing. We tried a few things and brought the rest home. I had the hot and sour soup (but let the hubby...try it). We shared the Peking Duck, Steamed Pork Bun, Soup Dumplings and I can't remember the name of the spicy (but not over powering) chicken. Definitely try it if you get the chance.More
Excellent Chinese food. I thought I was in a top level restaurant in Shanghai. It was a pleasant surprise after a rough day.
The carry-out from Lulu's is well handled and always delicious. Last night we had the Wonton soup (hand-made wontons), rice and a vegeterian that was just mushrooms. As always, everything delicious and fast.
This place is truly exceptional. The food here has such variety, and the service is the best. It is a quiet restaurant and diners can enjoy a pleasant conversation while dining. Be sure to try the salt and pepper shrimp - so good.
I really like international foods, but picky with the proteins (especially meats) prepared more western style... ie clean of fat etc. and this was. Heads up is that the food as ordered normally can be rather spicy, so you might want to ask for it...less spicy. Very good taste and price overall.More
Our family of ten (10) went on a Sunday morning shortly after opening with no reservations. We were seated immediately. The servers began immediately. It's been two years since our last visit but nothing has changed. Even our young grandsons (ages 15,13, 7 and 4)...enjoyed the food/experience. Almost everything we had was delicious. Our favorites were the green beans, eggplant, steamed shrimp & pork wontons, and cooked tofu &vegs, The service is very attentive.More
LuLu's was packed on a Sunday for dim sum, and for good reason. Located in the middle of St. Louis' Chinatown, it was full of locals enjoying their Sunday meal. The food was excellent and authentic. Service was quick and friendly, with recommendations which worked...out really well for us. We will be back.More
Lulu's has good Chinese food, but it's really a place for Dim Sum on the weekends. The Dim Sum menu is extensive including many traditional dishes I think many midwesterners would consider edgy (whole shrimp, chicken feet, tripe). You often have to ask for these,...but they have always been readily available. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They will readily explain what stuff is and can help with selection. They are also good at making sure you have water and tea..More
