I enjoyed a nice local Chinese Buffet here on the way to Kansas City. Its a small but nice clean venue offering all the selection that most any larger buffet might offer. The food was all hit and typically delicious. The venue was simple with...Chinese decor. The staff was equally helpful, too. Great parking. I will be back.More

Just visited this restaurant for the first time. Pretty much what I expected. Typical Chinese buffet. They do have a menu that you can order off of but I was not aware of this until I went to the counter to pay after my meal....At the counter, I found their menu. Upon entering I was immediately directed to their buffet. No offer of a menu. I was there for dinner. The lunch buffet price is lower than the dinner buffet price. I arrived at about 5:15 pm and the food was all hot and fresh and the buffet pans were well stocked. I was the only customer at this time. Service was adequate.More

This is a decent place for Chinese food. The buffet offers a lot of choices, but the quality is only average at best. We have gotten take out several times here and the food is much better. We usually ask them to tweak things some...how which I think requires them to make it fresh. That seems to make a difference. The price is right for a quick dinner.More

This restaurant has been around for years. Buffet is a good value and they have it stocked all the time. We like it for quick takeout. 15-20 minutes from when you call and it's ready. Sometimes quicker. Love the Crab Rangoon, and all the dinners...are good. Good local food and they are nice people.More

For a small town of 8,000+ residents they provide an admirable experience. I spent $10.60 on a pretty good Tuesday night buffet. There is ample parking with a nice big Chinese marque above the door. Upon entering I observed a wholesome Chinese ambiance. It seemed...very "Chinese" in decor. I was greeted immediately by a young Asian girl who seated me. In a small town I expected a demur offering but instead was pleased to see a bit more selections than some in larger towns. The food was good, as well as hot, and seemingly fresh. The service was excellent. I think Smithville is fortunate to have this restaurant in their midst, and should support it more. I would challenge anyone to find better for the price. We were new in town and ate here before talking to other people. No one else in the entire restaurant. We were the only ones. Food looked like it had been on the bar all day, and it was only a little after noon. Not...a good buffet. Quality of food is very lacking, service wasn't good either. They weren't busy so I don't know why the server wasn't around. She was in the back doing something the entire time. We won't return.More

This restaurant could use an upgrade all around. We went at about 6:30 and some of the food was dried out like it had been sitting a while. There weren't very many patrons so maybe that's the problem. If nobody is eating the food it...sits and dries out. There wasn't a big selection of items on the buffet which is a turn-off for me. The Mexican restaurant next door was doing great business while maybe two other customers showed up at this place. At peak dinner time on a Friday night, I don't know how this place stays in business if this is all the customers they attract. I'm not going back.More

This is some of the worst Chinese food I have ever had. It was bland, cold and not much variety. Next door to a Mexican restaurant...should have eaten there.

We stopped here for lunch after a morning fishing at Smithville Lake. The first thing we noticed is that the rice didn't look right. It's hard to explain but it looked dried out too much. Next we noticed there was no fish. This is what...my wife was really wanting and we thought there would be some fish at a Chinese Buffet. There was plenty of artificial crab, but no fish. The General Tso's chicken was hard, not crispy, hard. The fried dumplings were browned to the point of being hard to chew. The selection was extremely limited. I hate to end a review without something positive. The green beans were very tasty and nobody got sick after. That's about all that was positive.More
