We were disappointed in the service, even though our food was great. At this type of restaurant, higher end, there are certain expectations for the service. We waited an inappropriately long time for basic things. Our server was kind and polite but either was not...trained properly or doesn't have the skills needed for the job.More

I was staying at the Bothwell Hotel. Grabbed dinner with my daughter at this restaurant due to it being convenient and I was tired of fast food. I ordered the chicken alfredo and a ceasar salad. I also had a pear martini. We were first...brought water and bread. The bread was delicious and plentiful for the two of us. A whole mini loaf, sliced to individual size portions. The ceasar salad was delicious but it wasn't extrodinary. Good croutons! Our meals came and the chicken was cooked perfectly and had wonderful flavor. One of the best grilled chicken I have had. The alfedo sauce was perfection. My daughter got the chocolate cake for dessert, which we shared. I wouldn't say it was remarkable like the rest of the food but it was still good. We will skip dessert next time. We will be returning.More

We looked forward to going here for two months. The atmosphere and staff were great. The food terrible. I ordered the shrimp and scallops on angel hair pasta. I didn’t realize it came in a small bowl like a soup. It contained two very small...scallops and 5 shrimp with the tails on. $35. It was heavy on garlic but ok. Extremely overpriced for soggy seafood. My wife had pork on cottage fries. Their idea of fries means homemade potato chips. Tasted good but very thin. I do not exaggerate. The pork was tasty but so loaded with salt it was just barely eatable. We didn’t order wine so our bill with tip only came to $100. Very disappointing. Never again.More

Ate here while staying in the hotel and had a nice dinner. Wanting to try something different and regional, I tried the pork belly and grits and it was exceptional. The pork belly strips were fork tender and seasoned perfectly and served on tasty cheese...grits. The lemon drop martini was also mixed to perfection. Hubby had the beef baracoa which he thought was bland, especially after tasting my entree. Still a good meal though. Service by our server Isabella was prompt and courteous.More

The service was excellent. Food was yummy. The bartender,Rocky, created a drink around a liquor I voiced interest in. It was exceptional. Don't hesitate to reserve.

Nothing but raves for both The Ivory Grille and The Oak Room bar. Our waitress was wonderful with impeccable service. Highly recommend the roasted grapes and baked brie appetizer. We were there St. Patrick’s Day weekend and enjoyed both the corn beef and cabbage and...the pear and spicy walnut salad with salmon. Generous pours for both the smoked Manhattan and the Jamison on the rocks. We were visiting Central Missouri and staying about 30 minutes away so we were very happy that our drive paid off!More

The service was great, the restaurant was sparkling clean, the entrees and appetizers were unique, presentation was stellar and most important, everything was delicious. We have been looking for that "special occasion" restaurant and we have found it.

Our server was fantastic, knowledgeable and very pleasant. We ordered 3 appetizers (stuffed mushrooms, fried artichokes and sweet potato puffs) they were all delicious! A couple of salads were also ordered and they were tasty as well. Unfortunately, the entrees were not as good: the...pork loin was over cooked as was the prime rib in the stroganoff. Luckily, the shrimp in the cajun shrimp was perfectly cooked. We finished with the chocolate cake (a little dry - could have used a sauce or whipped cream) and the cheesecake which was perfect! This is in a historic building, which makes for a fun atmosphere!More

We tried the new duck entree and the shrimp andouille entree paired with Rombauer Zinfandel. Atmosphere was turn of the century enchanting with a great waiter who was very attentive. Duck was cooked to crisp on the outside while holding its juicy moisture inside. The...shrimp and sausage complimented each other well for a milder palate. Must stop when dink g in Mid Missouri!More

My wife and I made our first trip to The Ivory Grill last night for our 44th anniversary. It was an incredible evening. Allie was our server and she was wonderful. The atmosphere is great if you are casual or if you are celebrating an...anniversary. Since it was a Friday I did call for reservations and told them it was our anniversary. At the end, they brought a cheesecake, on them, to help us celebrate. Didn’t expect that. Allie and her helper were very attentive. Our water glass was never empty and we never lacked for anything, including their incredible bread and spread. I ordered the coffee and ancho rubbed filet and it was perfectly cooked and the rub added an unique and interesting flavor. It was a nice twist on a favorite. My wife had the apple butter smoked tenderloin and absolutely loved it. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful evening and celebration.More

Since I was staying at the hotel, decided to try out the Ivory Grill. I ordered the cedar plank salmon. Was really good. Would definitely order again. The service was ok, extremely nice. The only down side was their desserts. They tasted as if they...had been made several days prior and refrigerated, and for cake that does not leave a good texture.More

We have lived in the area for 26 years and had never been to this restaurant. Decided to splurge. I ordered prime rib (I raise Wagyu beef and eat my share of $75 steaks at home so if I eat beef when I go out...it is always prime rib). I was brought a rib eye, I didn't say anything and just ate it. Here is the part that I find unbelievable. In a restaurant of this caliber my ribeye was 1/2" thick, the thickness of what you would get at a Golden Corral. First and last visit to the Ivory Grille.More

Wonderful fine dining restaurant in the Bothwell Hotel. We celebrated my sister in law’s surprise birthday here and the staff was wonderful. Our server did a great job and she had her hands full with our party of 12. The food was great. I especially...liked the cedar plank salmon but everyone’s beef and swordfish were delicious too. Highly recommend this restaurant!More

I would not say there is a dress code. I would not wear jeans and a torn t-shirt, but anything presentable is fine. There are a lot of bicycle riders who stay here, and their clothing is pretty laid back.
