My family really likes El Jimador. The food is first rate, the portions are huge, the staff is great and the prices are very reasonable. I have never left El Jimador hungry.

Holy cow, food comes out in 2 minutes. Wicked fast service. I had the sliced steak, with mushroom, avocado, rice, beans and cheese. Amazing taste and just the right spice. Margaritas are strong as well. Overall great Mexican.

Had dinner here a couple of times. Good every time except for the last. The carne asada dinner was ok. The meat was really thin cut and looked like sliced roast beef. My friend asked for a cooked jalapeno and they gave him a pickled one.

Last night, I had their T-bone steak. I had actually ordered the Sirloin. But I accepted it, since I primarily wanted a steak dinner. My steak was served with beans and cheese and rice. The steak was good. My would have been especial if it came with salad, though. Last week, I had the Fajitas with steak & shrimp. It... More

We entered at 2:30pm on a Friday for lunch of course it wasn't busy. The waiter seemed to have a hard time understanding my husband when he asked about the type of Tequila used in the Margarita's. We finally found out the type of tequila in The Presidente margaritas and each ordered one....which then ended up as Dos margaritas before... More

The food is ok for this little town. The bad thing is you must order exactly what is on the menu for the waiters to understand. Any deviation (addition/subtraction) and everything is lost in translation. I only go when forced to by my 4yr old. There is a newer Mexican place in St Robert that has better service and better... Our first time here did not disappoint. The food tasted authentic and the portion sizes were huge. You'll leave full AND with leftovers. Free chips and salsa with great tasting drinks too. We'll definitely be back.

El Jimador serves ample portions, makes honest drinks and service is up a grade or two from most other area restaurants.
