We were recently at The Chase Park Plaza Hotel and were in The Preston several times during our trip. The setting is beautiful and historic and breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. We also had an evening reception in there one evening and one particular bar-tender Shaunessi was the stuff of legends; exactly what you want. She was friendly, fun, engaging and made amazing drinks. Every place needs a Shaunessi! Can't wait to return.

Had breakfast there. Food was outstanding. Service to get food was lacking at best. Our waitress seemed to have a really hard time with easy tasks such as refilling water. Had to ask multiple times for certain items.

The brunch menu was quite tasty- we had the Mr. Preston sandwich and the French toast. Too much food for 2 people- shareable! The cappuccino was good, the coffee was lukewarm. Good, friendly service. Large glass of OJ.

We made reservations for our family of 6, including 4 children with no issues of getting seating. The ambiance is delightful. The brunch menu was a bit skimpy and food was "okay". For the prices, we were expecting a bit more razzle dazzle. Customer service was great.

We chose the Preston over the Chase Club thinking it would be a step up and nicer.
The staff were nice enough.
When I chose to dine at the Chase again, choosing between The Preston and the Chase Club, I will pick the Chase Club. The ambiance is better at the Chase Club, while the food is comparable and half the price.

Excellent place, good food, fair price, but I've never been so poorly served in St Louis, as in this place, by a waitress. Grumpy, thick and unpleasant. I'm not coming back.

Top notch customer service from this gal. There were a lot of us -- and we were all thirsty! She treated each of us as if were were her only customer, pleasant, prompt, and always smiling! Highly recommend! From someone who has worked in the service industry -- this woman is gold,

Had a post banquet cocktail event at The Preston, so I can't comment on the food, but the service was excellent. Bartenders were great, atmosphere is fun.

I was here for a conference, and attended a private event at the Preston. One of the bartenders, Shaunessi, was great! She was personable, funny, and remembered drink orders very well. She set the tone for a great night.

Paul is great! He listened to what I liked and made something accordingly. He could tell when I first sipped it that it was too strong for me, so he quickly remade it and made sure it was to taste (and didn't charge me for the first one like many bartenders would).

Food was not very flavorful: waiter please bring the salt and pepper. It was empty on a Friday night. Yet super expensive.

The Preston menu is basic, w/no off-menu offerings. The wine list is ok, but the bottle we requested was n/a. Coffee was ok, espresso was awful,
The hotel is centrally located to the CWE of St Louis and immediately adjacent to a number of great food/beverage alternatives.
Long story short — if you don't want to go anywhere else, room service is probably a good option.

We hosted a post wedding breakfast at The Preston last Saturday and it was a real treat for our family and friends! The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of traditional and specialty items that were fresh and tasty. The fruit was fresh and flavorful and the bakery items hit the spot. I especially loved the muffins! Best of all, you could have an omelet made to your liking and while that is getting prepared, your can enjoy the breakfast buffet. There were also items off the menu one could order but we had more than enough with the buffet. Since we had a large group, the restaurant situated us in the Wine Room in the back which was much appreciated as it gave us the privacy to talk and share in the wedding memories.
Event hostess Stephanie Carter with the Chase Park Plaza/Sonesta Hotel was a real treat to work with and made our little gathering very easy and nice! Thank you!

The Preston introduced a new menu recently and it’s far superior to the previous one. Lots of good looking choices. We tried the lobster popovers - yummy - and ribeye steak. The former exceeded our expectations but the later feel short. We will return to try other entrees. Server Jay makes every visit enjoyable.

We were on a motor coach (bus) tour from the Chicago / Wisconsin area visiting sights along Old Route 66 and our tour company chose The Preston for lunch. We all had the same fixed plate for lunch. I never thought grilled meat loaf could taste so good. The vegetables were prepared to perfection and the desert was marvelous. The crew of servers were outstanding. They were friendly, not pretentious in the least and anticipated our every need. Everyone on the dinning staff and in the lobby met us with a warm greeting and a big smile.
