Love this place. We moved from St. Louis 8 years ago and have never found a comparable Ethiopian restaurant. Absolutely love it here. Even the kids liked the Doro Wat, Fosolia, and Miser Alecha. Adults liked all of the vegetarian combo dishes and the Tibs. Would stop here every time we're in town if possible.

We got the non vegetarian sampler dish thingy. I don't remember what it was called, but it was good. Spicy, acidic, savory and filling. I loved it, my husband was not impressed, but I found it delightful. The spongy-bread-crepe-like like food was perfect.again, I don't remember the name. Interested to see what else they have to offer.

My girlfriend is all about the restaurants on South Grand so I gave this a shot. It was delicious! It turns out I do like Ethiopian cuisine. The food was flavorful, sharing some spices with Indian cuisine. The bread was great and we loved the honey wine.

I like Thai, vietnamese, chinese, arabic, south american...etc I just did not like the food. My wife, on the other hand, liked it. It's always good to try new things. The staff was very nice and the setting was romantic.

It's been a few years since I've had Ethiopian food. My last sampling was in Addis Ababa a few years back. If what I had there was authentic, then today's meal measures up well. This small restaurant is charming in every way. Our waitress was attentive and encouraging when it came to eating with our hands. Give it a try... More

I'm no expert on Ethiopian cuisine, but we enjoyed our visit to this small restaurant a few steps off Delmar. We had spiced and pureed chickpeas, marinated carrots and cabbage, a lemony dressing, and spicy hot tea. All very tasty. The decor is understated, simple and attractive. Service was attentive--we were kept well-supplied with delicious injera bread.

Ethiopian food is a must try! It should be enjoyed in the traditional way using the injera as the scoop with your fingers. Meskerem is a feast for the belly the eyes and the sense of touch. Enjoy!!

No Cutleries. You need to eat with your hands to get the best taste. Had the Chicken and Lamb entrees they were good. When one sees the food, he/she would thing this is south indian food but the reality comes out when it goes inside the mouth.

We visited Meskerem for my husbands Birthday. I have had Ethiopian cuisine before but the rest of my family has not. They were pleasantly surprised at the depth and flavor of the food. It was delicious and a true cutlural experience Ethiopian food is eaten with your hands, it is scooped up by a flavorful bread. The service was Great!... More

Delicious beyond words but I'll make a strong effort just for you. Meskerem is authentic Ethiopian cuisine in an authentic Ethiopian restaurant with authentic pleasant Ethiopian service with authentic Ethiopian decor. The food is ahhhhhhmazingly superb! I highly suggest the Special Chicken Tibs, cubes of tender chicken breast seasoned with mild garlic, fresh onions, green peppers and tomato. The dish... More
