The seafood omelette was very good. The rye toast was super fresh. The crab cake eggs Benedict was great. We shall return.

Our first visit to Square One was during the Lafayette Square Garden Tour. The restaurant has a bar (with television) in the first room and a patio to the side. We were quickly seated in a room to the back. Our party enjoyed Fish &...Chips and Chicken Tenders. Everything was excellent, especially the French Fires. Our server, Kelly, was attentive and prompt without being intrusive. This will not be our last visit to Square One.More

Service was great and the atmosphere is fine. Sadly the food was just ok. We went for lunch on a Saturday. We had the cheeseburger and fries along with eggs, biscuits and gravy and grits. The biscuits were hard and the grits had no taste....The beer was good. So maybe go for a drink and skip the food . Lunch with tip was 42.00...way too much for food that's not good.More

It’s a great street and neighborhood, nice neighborhood-y feel. Inside it’s a bit of a strange layout. Some great seating areas, other look less appealing. But the service and food are all great, lots of drink options.

There is bar seating, inside seating and outside seating. I had the roast beef sandwich, and it was delicious. I would definitely eat here again.

We were in town visiting friends and they suggested this place for lunch. We had a taste flight of 12 beers and 4 whiskeys. We ordered a pub burger, crab cakes and a Lafayette Square Philly sandwich. All were excellent. Service was spot on and...helpful.More

We enjoyed our visit here on a Saturday for dinner. Beer was good, cocktails were good, service was good although a little slow at the end when waiting for our bill. We all had burgers which were good too.

Great Beer, Great Atmosphere. We really enjoyed the IPAs they brew here. They also had fantastic warm goat cheese and spinach dip. Great place to enjoy some beer and next time we will definitely eat here.

Visited for dinner on a Wednesday night. Worth the short wait for the courtyard patio on a beautiful evening. I enjoyed the chicken almond salad sandwich (huge portion, fresh light croissant bun). My wife had the small Cobb salad, still a good portion. I had...the West Coast IPA which was very good, my wife thought her light blond had a soapy taste though.More

I wished I lived in the neighborhood, because this would be my local hangout. We each tried a different entree and enjoyed them all, both salads and sandwiches. We also had their IPA and Stouts and they, too, were delicious. Since we won't be back...anytime soon, we also tried their cocktails and a sample of four of their spirits. Definitely worth the experience...unique and tantalizing. We ended up buying two of the bottles to go. Don't miss this local jewel!More

We were seated outside, which was a very relaxed area with art and a water effect to lighten the mood. Our food was great (I loved my beer cheese soup) and the waiter was very knowledgeable about the beer to make a recommendation (that I...loved!) when my original choice wasn't available.More

The building is on the National Register of Historic Places in St. Louis, it had a lot of character having originally been a tavern in 1883. My husband enjoyed a flight of beer while I tried one of their employee inspired drinks. According to a...local, they have bloody mary flights, but with it being later in the afternoon we passed on that.More

Excellent beers, $9 flight for 4 six-ounce pours is great value. Food was good, lovely ambiance, nice 60s and 70s music at reasonable (ie low) volume! Definitely will be back.

Tried a flight of their craft brews. They excel at the dark stouts for sure. Didn’t try the food, but a $9.00 flight is a good deal. In Lafayette Square. This was a fun visit.
