The place is way to pricey for what you get and to be frank outside of the toasted ravioli, it is average at best. The even charged me $2 to split a sub with my wife. What???? See picture. if you must try the toasted...More

Whan arriving on a Saturday night @ 9pm, the place was full, but not overwhelmingly busy. My group of 4 noticed the owner sitting at the bar. I asked him about the "toasted ravioli". I was very kind in my approach and basically asked a...More

I’m used to spicy Italian style lasagna.. so StL cheesy...real cheesy lasagna takes some getting used to... it’s much more filling.. but pretty bland.. service was good.. wine selection decent..I’d probably return.. but Cascone’s in KC is definitely better..

We tried Charlie's on the Friday night of Memorial Day weekend, and have to admit that we were a little disappointed. We loved the room, a great old neighborhood restaurant, and being that the Cardinal's were playing that night, the place was packed with fans,...More

Went there with a big group the night of a Blues playoff game. Place was packed. Service was really slow getting started but food came out quickly once we ordered. The menu had a wide variety of Italian options. Food was just OK.

I’m not an Italian food guy but that’s because I haven’t been to Charlie Gitto’s before. Great food, Timothy was a great, staff very professional. Will be back the next time I’m in St. Louis.

Went there before the Garth Brooks Concert, We were lucky to get there before the crowd came in. Staff was very friendly. Only thing was service was slow. But the food made up for it.

This is definitely not Charlie Gitto’s on The Hill. It feels like a poor relation. The food was decent with large portions, but it’s extremely loud and just not as friendly as The Hill restaurants. I’m not sure exactly why I wasn’t satisfied and we...More

Visited for dinner on a weeknight and and restaurant was maybe half full. Our server was fine, but it was strange that she didn't seem to understand our request for balsamic vinegar with our bread. We had a few drinks, toasted ravioli (not sure why...More

I was a little disappointed in Charlie Gitto's based on prior word of mouth. The service was friendly but could use a little polishing. Fried ravioli app was good, cheesy garlic bread wasn't quite done but still tasted good. I had the chicken parm and...More
