We decided to try Sidney Street for our anniversary dinner. Looked at the appetizer board, the menu, and other tables, and found lots of things that looked interesting and delicious. We decided on the chef's tasting. We ended up getting several things that we would have avoided out of fear…and the adventure was really outstanding. The highlights were the veal... More

We were in town for an annual meeting and just needed a break in the action. This was just the spot. It was tucked in a neighborhood and the food was simply awesome!!!! Authentic, homemade goodness with a flair!!!!! If you get a chance, put this one on your list- it is a break from the usual.

Business dinner at Sydney street. Service was excellent. We tried the lobster turnovers, octopus and house made charcuterie as starters followed by the main course. The starters we excellent but I found the octopus serving very small for the price. A piece of tentacle about 3" long. The Lobster Turnovers were awesome. For my main course I had the rabbit... We enjoyed our meal here. Everything was well-prepared and delicious. I especially liked the appetizer trio. We both had filets, but prepared differently. They arrived quickly and perfectly done (medium-rare). Our waitress was efficient, but not neat or personable. The restaurant would be much more attractive if they could afford to replace the very dingy ceiling tiles with something like... More

It's our favorite place to treat ourselves, special occasion or otherwise. The lobster stuffed Filet is a must, although I've never been disappointed in any item. Everything is beautifully presented and delicious. It's a very special place.

We returned for an anniversary dinner because we knew we wouldn't be disappointed and we were right. The seasoning and presentation of each dish was superb. The service struck the perfect balance between being over-attentive and under-attentive. My main course was the spiced lamb while my wife had the rabbit. Both were outstanding. Be prepared . . . it's not... More

We had a wonderful dinner experience at Sydnie Street. The menu offers good variety and many chef specialties. We enjoyed an array of appetizers, soup, salad, entree and dessert. Our waitress was excellent and offered detailed explanations of menu items. The atmosphere is warm, charming and intimate. I would rank Sydnie Street among St. Louis top five. You will need... More

Sidney Street Cafe is one of my all time favorite places to eat in St. Louis... The care and preparation they take when cooking and plating their dishes is phenomenal. Some of the best meals I've had have come from this restaurant. The food is high quality and the atomosphere is dark and sexy... For just over $100 two people... More

What a great meal in an historic part of town. Started with tremendous appetizer sampler for one. Then a tremendous main course. I had the daily pork dish witch was tenderloin medallions, outstanding. I didn't have room for dessert but they all looked wonderful as well. This is at the high end of the scale from a price standpoint but... More

We took out of town friends to Sidney Street Cafe for dinner on a Friday night. It's always a great choice. We had reservations and requested a special table. The folks at SSC always deliver. The table, the service, the cocktails, the wine list, the food, the preparation..... it's all good. A visit to Sidney Street also reveals a part... More
