Lunch with the girls. We had a beautiful afternoon and dined outside. We had a nice view of the lake, perfect! My salad was just okay. I had the added Salmon. I was expecting a nice piece of fish for the price, but had little bits of fish, not work the price. Their battered french fries were yummy, we split... More

Attended a large party at the Boathouse. The food, which was the usual appetizers including salmon, was very good. The shredded pork buns were exceptionally delicious. Staff was attentive with extensive drink choices. Lovely but busy location for parking. They need to stock the restrooms before a big function.

The Boathouse has so much potential, unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. The chicken salad lacked flavor, the crab cakes were soggy and tasteless, and the iced tea definitely tasted like instant. Definitely a must see attraction, just don't go to eat.

Great location and menus. Excellent service. Great ducks. Unfortunately at 99 degrees, we did not want to eat outside. Worth a visit when you are at attractions in the park.

To get a seat inside for dinner was over an hour wait. The people at the hostess station were not friendly or helpful and seemed that they would rather be someplace else. We instead sat outside and ordered dinner and some from the take out window/bar area. The food came out pretty quickly and hot and tasty at a reasonable... More

Lunch or dinner, call it what you may. Seated immediately. Atmosphere pleasant with nice flowers around the building and lake view. Waitress was friendly and on the ball. Order taken and served within reasonable time frame. Most of the meal was very good with one exception. Onion rings had a taste of fish. Questioned waitress who stated she would refer... More

Nice ambiance near the lake where you can be free seated after your workout in the park. Order a refreshing drink and have your breakfast.

The food used to be good here but the fish was dry and overcooked and crab cakes were tasteless. Service was mediocre at best. It wasn't very busy but it took forever for the food to come out and then to get our check.

Thank Skye1165

Back and better than ever. This casual restaurant, bar, and boat rental facility, located in the heart of Forest Park on Post-Dispatch Lake, is like no other place in St. Louis. The Boathouse has undergone major renovations thanks to a gift from the Jack Taylor family. In the warm weather enjoy leisurely boat rides, lakeside patio dining, cold drinks, live music, and beautiful sunsets. In the cold weather enjoy indoor dining for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch…or just come and enjoy a glass of wine or a hot chocolate while relaxing around the large stone wood-burning fireplace.

**Due to increased traffic in the Park during our busy season, we’ll be able to accommodate reservations for large parties only, 10-16 people, for indoor dining at specific times. Otherwise, our seating is available on a first come, first serve basis.
