Although their website represents that they are alive and kicking this place is completely boarded up and looks like it has been so for many months. Wasted drive through a sketchy part of town.

This place isn’t very big, yet it’s BIG ON TASTE! We had a party of four and each of us, raved about our food. Chicken and waffles are soooooo good. The salmon croquettes are delish, the sampler has a little bit of everything and it...was great. The rice and grits on point! I look forward to coming back to this one.More

The service is amazing. The food is great. The wait time wasn't bad. This is a local favorite and a must go to spot if you are in the area!

I was watching a food tv show that reminded me of goody, goody. We actually visited awhile ago. We were in St. Louis for my husbands work. I’m a counselor and visited colleges in the St. Louis area. I lived in the Midwest in my...20’s and St. Louis has always been a favorite for me. Catfish....my go to in St. Louis and places in Kentucky. My husband and I walked into the diner and all seats were full on a Saturday morning except two seats at the counter...all the rest full there too. It was a feeling walking in ...if you weren’t a regular customer...we’ll we became a regular the moment I asked the man next to me... “so how’s the catfish?” He smiled and said, “ mighty good.” Catfish and waffles is a wonderful Midwest dish. Best ever... don’t miss a chance to eat there!More

I loved everything about this place, from the rhyming host to the friendly service. The food goes without saying was great, the omelet and grits and the chicken and waffles had us full before we finished. Can't wait to get back!

If you want a great “hole in the wall” fifties diner style breakfast or lunch, get to Goody Goody Diner. It is a historic local landmark and still running after 70 years! The food and service are great! The neighborhood is a little run down...but this little diner is worth seeking out. The service and food was fantastic and way better than Denny’s or Cracker Barrel plus very nostalgic atmosphere of an early 1950’s diner. Great variety of menu options! One of the top ten breakfast locations in St.Louis! I saw several local police officers (just off duty) eating there (always a good sign since they know good local affordable dining). Try their chicken and waffles!More

Had a classic diner burger with fries and my friend had chicken and waffles. Both were great. The service was phenomenal and the building was charming and parking is available. I highly recommend this diner and will go back when I return to St. Louis.

I’ve been to this establishment on several occasions and have always had a pleasurable experience. The host treats you as a friend and always has a good rhyme. Stop in at Goody Goody’s and get the sampler platter with a side of toast, you will...not be disappointed.More

From the moment we walked in here we new it was going to be an experience. We were greeted by the host, a gentlemen named Sly who recited poetry to us, a first! The place was crowded but we were seated in a few minutes...and were treated to one of their specialty items which is there chicken and waffle. Both were excellent and portions were large so most of the chicken came home with me. Staff was super friendly and helpful. On the way out, Sly recited more poetry for us! Will be back.More
