No manufactured or replicated nostalgia. This place is the REAL THING! Great ice cream, food and home made chocolates, made on site. Booths with juke boxes a counter with built-in round stools. Great malts and banana splits. Hot fudge sundaes and burgers. It's the 1950s all over again. Wonderful food - wonderful atmosphere!

Got a couple shakes. One normal and one malted. Both very tasty. Also got some chocolate. Also tasty. Didn't have time to do lunch. Will return!!

Fantastic step back in time. The shakes and malts are amazing. The Bacon Lettuce and Tomato is HUGE. It's absolutely delicious.

This place is a step back in time with the decor. The ice cream is the best anywhere! They make their own candy too, so chocolate covered strawberries and oreos is a must when you go :) Also, they make the best sandwhiches. They are huge! My favs are the BLT & the turkey sandwhich.

If you are on a special diet, then good luck finding something to eat here. Know for the bacon sandwich and of course having a Candy kitchen, very small facility, recommend getting there when it opens, we had to wait half hour just for someone to finish so we could get a table.

My husband brought me to his home in St. Louis 20+ years ago and showed me all his favourite places. One of the first places we went was Crown Candy Kitchen...sigh. If you like feeling you're in a movie from around the 40's, you will love Candy Kitchen. Crown is almost 100 years old. The interior contains layers from various... More

A friend recommended this place to eat so I opted to finally give it a go. Crown Candy Kitchen is an old throwback soda fountain shop that has taken on new life. The food is pretty simple which is the appeal. I would recommend only coming to Crown if you are HUNGRY as their portions are not for the dainty... More

This is a St. Louis classic! The milkshakes are amazing, and really big, although the space and seating is tight and small. The BLT has LOTS OF BACON! The food is really yummy!

The booth were too small: 3 of us could not fit in comfortably. The restaurant is tiny and crowded, bad ventilation. The milkshakes are good but the food was just okay. Won't come here again to wait in that huge line either!
