This is such a neat place, but very small! Be prepared to wait for a table or just get your items to go. We all had malts , floats and ice cream sodas. My strawberry soda was fantastic! The service was a little slow, but they were very busy. Our waitress was very friendly. It was a very fun place... More

This is the best ice cream on St. Louis by far. It is homemade and the ambience can't be beat. There are other fake ice cream shops in town but this is worth the trip. My favorite is the Hot Fudge Newport. The BLT is the best anywhere.

They have the biggest and best BLT of any place anywhere. The amount of bacon in the sandwich is at least 2 inches thick. To top off your meal try one of their malts. They are ungodly thick with I believe is a quart of ice cream in each one. They're made the old fashioned way in the big metal... More

Crown Candy Kitchen is simply iconic in St. Louis and from the perspective of my family of four (two girls aged 11 & 8 plus my wife and I) absolutely worth a visit and the wait. We arrived around 11:30 am on Tuesday. The line wasn't to the sidewalk yet, but it was by the time we left, which is... More

This old time soda fountain is a must see and must dine place. They are famous for their BLT's with a pound of bacon, or the Reuben sandwich which is amazing. But what you really want to have is a malt or milkshake...so many flavors to choose from and all are fabulous. You might see the Mayor there or the... More

The BLT (Bacon Lettuce Tomato) Sandwich is piled high with bacon. You cannot go wrong with a huge chocolate malt!

Authentic old time ice cream parlor from the 1940's. Best BLT sandwich you will ever have. Wonderful ice cream and to die for malts. Try a chocolate banana malt. You will not get a better one anywhere. Come early, as the place is jammed at lunch.

I was expecting a greasy cheeseburger and fries with an old fashioned ice cream soda. I only got half that-granted I'm not complaining but only sandwiches here. The BLT was huge-a rough guesstimate would be almost a pound of bacon. Believe it or not by the time you finish the first half you've almost bacon-ed out. I do wish I... More

This is always a must stop for us when in St. Louis. It is very small (we have tried to go when line is out the door and down the street), so we always plan our visit for late afternoon (3:30 - 4 pm) to try and beat the rush, but don't let that stop you because it is well... More

Awesome old school place to catch a bite. I always have the BLT, which is enormous, and the chocolate malt. So good. So full at the end. It's a small place so there is often a wait.
