Poor Customer Service, Burnt Old Potatoes Yesterday I ordered lunch at Blondie's with my sister and I ordered a Chicken Ceasar Wrap with potatoes. This is the meal that I typically order when I am at Blondie's. The potatoes were burnt and hard. However, this...is the fourth time that I have ordered this meal and the potatoes have been burnt. In the past I have not brought the potatoes back and took it as a loss. However, this time I decided to save the potatoes and bring them back the following day. Yesterday I did not get a chance to eat until about 8:30, I had to teach a class from 6-8pm. Today when I brought the potatoes in this morning, I spoke with Lilly Byrne. Lilly stated that they did not have the ingredients to make the Chicken Ceasar Wrap and that I could order something else or wait until later. Around 1pm, I went back and ordered the Chicken Ceasar Wrap with potatoes. I was still charged $10.10 even though I had to come to the restaurant twice due to them not having the ingredients and my potatoes were burnt. I am frustrated at this situation due to my potatoes being burnt for the fourth time and having to come up to the restaurant twice. For me, it is about the principle and inconvenience on the customer. I DO NOT have an issue with paying for my food, but honestly, I would expect for Blondie's to at least cover the $10.10. I eat at Blondie's regularly and order the same thing each time. I should not have to come back to Blondie's twice to resolve an issue that should have never happened in the first place. Also, Lilly made a comment stating that "if McDonald's gets her order wrong and she has to go back up there, that they don't give her gas money". Again, I am not asking for gas money or any handouts. I want to ultimately feel like I am being heard, valued, and appreciated.More

Great breakfast. We both had one of the breakfast sandwich options with mixed fruit. Both were filling and tasted great. Tried the popovers - not what we were expected but still good. Servers were short staffed but the one was doing the best she could...and maintained a friendly attitude. Coffee was good and the refills were plentiful.More

I like that you can be indoors or outside, to watch the world go by on Washington Ave. Great coffee!

I had lunch here with a couple friends. It's café style. You place your order at the counter as well as pick up your coffee. They will bring your food to you. They serve breakfast and lunch all day, and have a variety of pastries...and coffees to choose from. The staff was very nice, but they were having printer problems for the food orders, so only one of the three food orders came out. It, also, took a while just to get the first order. We did eventually get the other orders after we asked where they were. Two of us ordered breakfast food, including myself the other lunch. I had the banana French toast. It was bland, and a little over cooked. One of my friends got the Blondie's Benedict. She also agreed it was bland, and nothing to write home about. My other friend got soup and salad to go, and she loved it when she ate it later for dinner. For our drinks, I got the Big Bang Latte, and one of my friends got the Mayan mocha latte. We both agreed they had no flavor. My other friend ordered a Caffè Americano, which was good. If I come here again, which is highly unlikely, I will stay away from the breakfast food and try the lunch food. On the bright side, they do have a patio.More

Transplant from New York. The place had a vibe that reminded very much of NYC. So I asked for a scooped out bagel. Never in my life 😄have I seen one like this. This means the chefs must be perfectionists! Super cool!!!

The inside of the cafe is really pretty and the staff is super nice, but sadly the coffee is nothing special. The baked good taste store bought.

We ate brunch at Blondie's on a Friday afternoon. Restaurant was busy but there were plenty of places to sit (and isolate for pandemic). I had great coffee and my wife enjoyed her mimosa. Breakfast food was outstanding. Cashier was super friendly and attentive. Will...definitely return!More

We had coffee and breakfast here on a Saturday morning - it was busy, but not crazy; the service and food were good as were the coffees. Great place to go downtown.

We stopped here for breakfast around 8:30 on a Sunday morning. We were quickly greeted and seated in a quiet area of the restaurant. Mrs. M ordered pancakes and I had their version of the slinger. Their version is biscuits and gravy, cheddar, egg, and...chorizo. A little different but totally yum! Mrs. M said her pancakes were perfect and reminded her of her mother's cooking. I paired the slinger with a Bloody Mary from the bar. Our server poured the alcohol and I dressed it up with all the fixings: shrimp, bacon, olives and more! Excellent service from Cairo helped top our A+ breakfast experience.More

Delicious coffee. Right downtown! Really cozy seating throughout the entire restaurant with a lot of different textures and just perfect for socializing. $6.00 Bloody Mary bar (it was a Saturday am when I visited). Will definitely be back! Some of the best seating options I...have seen in a coffee shop ever! Especially if you are like me and like really comfortable living room chairs and such to sit in! Great music as well… Very lively feel… Not a quiet coffee shop.More

During a business trip, I stopped by here for breakfast and latte before my flight home. Blondie’s is located downtown in St Louis. The interior is nicely decorated. I only ordered simple waffles and white mocha latte and enjoyed both during my visit. The waffles...were crispy and the latte was well done. Definitely a great place to stop in if you’re in the area.More
