Stopped in this morning for a bagel. Service was ridiculously slow!! Food was nothing special. The place was not crowded so no excuses.

We stop here whenever we're in the neighborhood because the food is different than what's generally available in St. Louis. Their corned beef is incomparable! My husband prefers his with chicken livers. I love the blintzes at breakfast-time. The servers are friendly and the service is pretty fast. My only complaint is that the child's French toast was pretty skimpy.

I had forgotten how much I love this place! Now that I have rediscovered it, I have gone there three times in the past two months. My favorite is the Mish Mosh soup. It is chicken soup with an enormous matzo ball, egg noodles, and kasha and shells. The huge meat knish is also a favorite so we always get... More

I visited Pumpernickel's one cold January afternoon with my sister. We were both quite hangry and it was getting worse by the minute. We had passed on once place already and headed to Thai Nivas because I knew it was good. They were closed. We were so hungry that we were going to go to Jet's Pizza instead. But then... More

Enjoy freshly prepared deli foods without any artificial additives. A wide choice on the menu of many different dishes. The staff is very nice and friendly.

I love Reubens and after looking at their online menu I decided to call in an order. It took quite a while to get the sandwich after I arrived but the counter person offered me a sample of some brisket while I waited (nice touch). The Reuben was good but I wouldn't go as far to say it's "The Best... More

My wife and I live in Kansas City and we just have no real delis here - Italian or Jewish, really. We were recently on a road trip through Arkansas, Tennessee, and St Louis before heading back home and I just had to stop at Kopperman's because I wanted a good bagel and a real deli. Kopperman's is definitely TOTALLY... More

My St. Louis go-to for comfort food in the NY deli tradition, Pumpernickles has a good house-made chicken matzoh ball soup, a good Reuben sandwich, and all the smoked fish I crave. Bagels from The Bagel Factory top NYC's late, great H&H!

I love bringing my work colleagues here to introduce them to real Kosher food. When I am under the weather I go there for a real bowl of chicken soup or Kosher penicillin! Try any of the sandwiches they are excellent, And don't forget to leave some room for the Bakery goods.

Been searching for a long time for a bigger than your face New York style pastrami sandwich of quality (minus chewy grizzle) and I've happily found it. Great customer service. Bakery goodies looked good but was too full to try.
