This is our go to for cakes for Birthdays, holidays and special occasions. Never disappointed with the cakes, stollen, or breads. Can't say the same thing for the chocolate chip cookies. Tried them 3 times. Each time they were stale, soft, dry and tasteless. I...am not sure how old they were but they were not fresh. Not sure how long cookies remain on the shelf before deemed too old to pawn off on an expecting customer. The 3 orders I tried ended up in the trash each time. I will continue to buy cakes and stollen but not cookies. I have better luck and taste with Pepridge Farm purchased at Schnuck's and pay way less.More

The cookies are delightful. The stollen was too sweet for my tastes. But well worth the drive. In the afternoon, the fresh baked loaf of bread is sinful. Enjoy!

There are lots of choices at the wonderful little Italian Bakery on the Hill in St. Louis. Be sure to take cash because that's the only payment accepted. When we went there was a line outside waiting for others to exit so we could enter....The staff was quick though so don't let that scare you. It's worth the wait!More

I always love trying local bakeries when we go out of town. This is definitely a must when we are in St. Louis! We have tried a lot of different items and they are all amazing. The staff is amazing, always friendly and very helpful....Don’t be alarmed if they are busy because they will still take their time making sure you are happy with your purchase and you’ll be in and out quickly.More

My wife and I visited this place midday on a Wednesday, so it actually was not crowded at all. However, there were 5-6 people ready to serve us, so they are ready for high volumes. There was a nice selection of baked goods. We shared...a cannoli and also got a blueberry muffin and a chocolate raspberry muffin, The cannoli was very good, probably 3rd best of the hundreds I've tried. The muffins were excellent, top-notch. Prices are reasonable. A fun place!More

My daughter and I loved this bakery. Wide variety of items to choose from. We enjoyed our treats so much and had such a hard time deciding, we went back the next day for more! The snowball was something else!!!

Came in about 4pm. Place was still busy, but they had a good selection. The pasteries I chose were good. They did not have a coffee shop to go along with the pasteries, but thats ok. The best would have been to have Lavazza or...some other italian coffee available. But I would come backMore

Their choices of baked goods are amazing! With everything made fresh daily and in business over 90 years, they know what they're doing. The staff is wonderful and always friendly. I would recommend you stop in anytime you are on the Hill. The ONLY negative...to this business is they are cash-only. I say that because they have a new debit system, but they charge a ridiculous $1.50 to use it. Otherwise, this place is an icon!More

Goody Goodness. When you visit a bakery, mid day, pandemic has everybody frustrated, and that bakery is hopping with customers, you know you’re in for a treat. And not just tourists. Local types. From The Hill. Getting their cheese cake slab fixes and sort of...looking at tourists like, “you tourists are in the way, but this stuff is good and we’ll tolerate you.” We went for a loaf of bread to eat with meat and cheese from Volpi. Ended up buying a bunch of stuff and ALLof it was outstanding. Can’t wait to tast the slab of cheese cake with my coffee! They call it a “slab”. And it looks like a slab! And yes, just order a box of cookies to knosh later!More

I have been a patron of MO Baking Company for many years. It is a tradition for my family to eat on the Hill and then grab some goodies at the bakery before we leave town. Today I had the privilege of meeting the owner....She was a very helpful and kind lady who is worried about whether or not she is making the right decision about staying open. I told her I thought that her policy was adequate and she should stay open. She then told me that someone had called the store today and used all sorts of profanity with her for staying open. I say shame on them. This is a top rate establishment with an impeccable product and customer service. Thank you for what you do.More

They have dozens of varieties of cookies, breads and cakes. I almost always get macaroons because theirs set the bar. I guess you can get coconut ones, but the ones I get are almond. The last time I was there, they still weren't taking credit...cards so HEADS UP.More

I got my holiday cookies here. It was a box of assorted cookies about 3 pounds or so. They sell them by the pound, not dozen. It was different for us as I usually bake. I think getting cookies from Missouri Bakery will be our...new tradition. They are yummy! Have a great variety to choose from, saves time & when I add up the cost of baking cookies myself- Missouri Bakery isn’t that expensive. Get their early as it’s a very popular place!!More

All I can say is WOW. The little bakery has a fantastic selection of pastries and cookies. I literally had to have an assortment of cookies sold by the pound and the snowball and creampuff pastry is to die for.
