This hip little cafe is a local favorite for flavorful espresso drinks, grilled sandwiches, wraps, salads, homemade soups and treats. Located on the Katy Trail, cyclists of all ages love our friendly bike service, Katy Trail bicycle rentals and great food. This spot is so cool. The patio is dreamy. The food and the coffee were excellent. The service was good. They were swamped when we arrived Sunday morning; it did take a while for us to get our delicious food. We’d definitely come back but we’d aim for an off time.

Weekday Brunch with a Friend

Ordered coffee and a gooey butter brownie. Coffee and brownie were both delicious. Service was good; the cashier patiently explained the variety of items available. Diners can eat inside or on the patio outside while observing the surroundings.

Good for a casual breakfast

Stopped in for breakfast on Sunday morning to take advantage of the outdoor seating overlooking the riverside park. We each had a breakfast wrap. They were packed with scrambled eggs, tomato, and cheese (mine with ham), and were grilled in a panini press. Very filling. It’s a great casual place, order at the counter, then grab a table outside and watch people go into town.

Great Sandwiches

I found this gem while walking the brick streets of St. Charles. Lots of outdoor seating, wonderful service and great sandwiches. The only downside was trying to choose just one. I had the tuna melt, it was very good I added a smoothie to make a perfect brunch. There are many vegan options, this place is a must if you you are in St. Charles.

Great coffee and food

Stopped here after a four day tour on the Katy Trail. Fabulous food options and great coffee. They have great options for vegans, vegetarians, and meat lovers alike, and everything is made fresh. Great views too, as it's right on the river

Disappointment

I wish I could write a review of the food but sadly we didn’t get to eat anything. They were out of everything we wanted when we stopped by for a quick lunch on a Tuesday just before 12:00. Literally everything we wanted they were out of. How does this happen? First they were out of pretzels so we couldn’t have the pretzels and beer cheese. Then they were out of their signature bread but they could put your sandwich on sliced wheat bread - not the same so that rules out most sandwiches. Then they were out of everything that included chicken which nixed several more options. At this point we were done. I just don’t understand how businesses who are in the business of selling food can’t have enough food for their customers to get through a day. This was the second restaurant/cafe we had a similar experience with in the area. Hopeful others will have a better experience.

Relaxing cafe with yummy food

My travel companion and I went to Bike Stop Cafe for lunch a couple of weeks ago when we finished our trip on the Katy Trail. I really appreciated the wide range of menu items for lunch at Bike Stop Cafe, especially those for vegetarians. The sandwiches were yummy, and we enjoyed the outdoor seating, given that it was a warm day. I really felt like we could just hang out and relax. We were very disappointed that their gift shop, The Outpost, just down the block, was closed that afternoon. We were ready to buy some Katy Trail souvenirs, but we had to shelve that idea.

Much More than a Cafe. Bike Rentals Too

Much More than a Cafe. The bike shop team was top notch. They helped outfit us for a great trip on the KATY trail. They were very professional, responsive and attentive to our needs. We rented great bikes that made the trip easy. Coming from out of state communication was great. I tried contacting three other shops and they did not compare to the Bike Stop Cafe. Thank you for your professionalism and passion for what you do.

Perfect sandwich

I stopped by the cafe for a meal and a trail walk before my flight. I had the Schwinn sandwich and an almond milk chai latte. It was a cool day and my choices were perfect! The sandwich was really good. I plan on returning to the Katy trail next spring for a trail ride and am already looking forward to the food at the Bike Stop Cafe.

Good food

It was OK and well prepared for carry out. Not sure if this is usual or just for Covid days...tables were too small for the 4 of us. I like being served a bit better than a bag of food. very nice service and employees

Place is nice, but cashier was rude.

The cashier was rude. Every coffee pot was empty, I was able to fill my cup halfway only and after waiting 10 minutes I asked is it any way I can fill my cup all the way quicker. She rudely said we are doing anything we can , we are short staffed. She could say it nicely at least. Thus happened On Sunday at 10 a.m. 2021.

Great Cafe!!

Today was the first time we visited Bike Shop Cafe. It was a great fine. Food was delicious, service was good and employees were very friendly. Hailey took our order. She was very helpful in explaining the foods they have. I had the Schwinn Sandwich with slices of avocado added. I will order it again.

Rental, Shuttle, Lunch!

Used BSC for shuttle service to Kansas City - great experience! Loved the bike shop. One of our riders had to rent and used BSC. Great café for food and drinks after a long day on the Katy Trail. Friendly people in a neat setting. Will return!

Top Notch Shuttle Service

It was so easy to schedule our bike shuttle to Clinton for our trip on the Katy Trail. MAKE SURE YOU ARRIVE EARLY TO ORDER YOUR FOOD AND ALLOW ENOUGH TIME TO LOAD. SHUTTLE LEAVES AT RESERVED TIME. I received timely texts and direction. Tony carefully blanketed our bikes and stowed our gear. We were allowed to eat and drink in the very clean transport. Tony had maps, advice, answers, snack stop and time announcements as we made our way. Location was conveniently in town.

We made reservations for a couple e-bikes 3 weeks ago, yesterday ( the day before reservations) Tony texted my sister and said no bikes were available no reason, no apologies no nothing. Thank Goodness for Pedego (Dave) who accommodated with being able to get us the bikes we needed in such short notice.
