I am so glad that this storefront opened. We used to have to wait to get empanadas at festivals, but now we can get them on a regular basis. These empanadas are delicious and I find myself craving them often. They are great as a side, or have a few as a light meal. There are now 10+ varieties, and I have enjoyed everything that I have tried.

These empanadas are amazing!! Empanadas are time consuming to make and mine never come close to tasting this good. It’s very hard to find authentic ingredients and Tango does not disappoint. JUST GO!! I live over 2 hours away and Tango will be on my list if I’m near St. Louis.

Simple menu - just empanadas, drinks and a few desserts. The empanadas are made fresh to order and were flavorful. Friendly, quick service. I would recommend some sides be added to the menu. Even some chips and salsa would help. They have a wide array of empanada flavors, so I'll probably go back and try some more, next time I'm in the area

Saw Tango Argentina's empanadas on the front of the Sauce Magazine. They looked amazing so I sought out the restaurant. It is not so much a restaurant as it is a storefront, but it was easy to find off of West Clay just north of Zumbehl Road after a quick right onto Campus Drive.
The restaurant currently offers seven types of empanadas: beef (regular or spicy), chicken (regular or spicy), ham and cheese, spinach, and corn. While there are a few drink options on the menu, no sides are offered so probably best to make this a "take out" stop.
During our visit we tried both beef options, both chicken options, the ham and cheese, and the spinach empanadas (just cut all of them in half - each of us had three empanadas total but enjoyed a half empanada of all six types ordered). The beef and chicken options were both terrific - very flavorful and fresh! The spinach empanada was okay and the ham and cheese was kind of blah.
Be sure to ask for some chimichurri sauce - they make their own in-house and also sell it in jars. The chimichurri sauce adds just the right kick to all of the empanada types to catapult them into star status... (Don't be surprised if/when the owner tells you that chimichurri sauce is not traditional on empanadas - it is OUTSTANDING, and you won't be sorry to have requested it!)
All in all, there is no ambiance at Tango Argentina but the food packs a wallop that shouldn't be missed. If you have the opportunity to try these empanadas from their food truck - or better yet pick them up at the store, fried to order! - do it! You won't be sorry.
Insider tips: Price break offered on entire order on Wednesday/Thursday at restaurant. Quantity discounts for a dozen or more offered as well. (Signs posted on counter in store.)

Do your self a favor and check this place out. It's mainly a carryout place but does have a small bar to sit and eat. Owner is super nice and knowledgeable and takes a lot of pride in his product and his country. spices and dough are imported from Argentina. Best empanadas in Saint Charles probably Missouri.

I love empanadas... Argentina's empanadas are delicious. Excellent service, take out is your best option. They have a wide variety of empanadas, spicy, vegan and multiple options. My favorite is the ham and cheese.

I have been eating these empanadas for years at different festivals throughout the year so I was very excited when they opened up a permanent storefront. The empanadas are delicious and 3 are enough for a meal. Spicy Meat is my favorite. You can call ahead to order them and they will be ready when you arrive! One of my favorite places to eat in St. Charles!

Enjoyed the empanadas almost as much as I enjoyed the conversation with Hector while he was making them. The kids loved them as well. Picking up a dozen for dinner = Happy Family! Highly recommended.

The gentleman inside was very personable and explained to us that he imports the ingredients directly from Argentina.
Unfortunately, the empanada was small. The crust was average and the filling was ok, but not delicious. And the price exceeded what it should have been for such a small snack.
