Went there on Saturday night for girlfriends birthday, a party of 4. The order was for 3 prime ribs with load bake potato and one filet. When the prime ribs were order we specifically told the waitress medium to medium rare with not blood. All...3 dinner came out with blood on top and cold, including the bake potatoes. The waitress asked if we wanted new steak, but we stated only to cook them a bit more. In a span of 5 minutes the steak were back, appears to have been cook more, but still cold. How can steaks be re-cook in 5 minutes and come back cold. The waitress brought out new potatoes and they were warm on the outside, but still cold on the inside. You would think if you are replacing cold potato's, you would make sure the replacement were hot, but guess not. Finally, after talking with the Manager, they replaced the Prime Rib with Filets. These were much better, but still not cooked to the desired taste. What was harder to sallow then the Prime Rib was the waitress and Manager, did not seem too apologetic, The words sorry, was not heard. Because of the back and forth of the dinner, the party of 4 never really enjoyed our meal together. When the bill was presented, the birthday girl, was not very happy and requested the Manager again. Still no apology, but they did take on meal off the bill.More

Stopped in today (3:40 pm) to get an early dinner and were turned away because they were short of staff. Their website did not mention the fact when we checked the menu. We only learned of this when we read the note on the front...door and then asked if we could be seated. The restaurant looked empty, so we didn’t really understand why we were turned away. We didn’t appreciate driving 10 miles to get there and then learning they required a reservation. Looks like they don’t need the business.More

Although Firebirds is a chain, it is consistently good. We ate dinner here during our stay in St. Louis. The deviled eggs are amazing, and the grilled salmon was also really good.

The dining experience started off relatively pleasant with a tiny hiccup with a beer being out and having to change a new keg for an alternative selection which is understandable. We ordered our food when we got bread and an app and from that time...to when we got our food was 50 minutes. 50 MIN to get 2 salads and an overcooked salmon filet. Manager was not competent or respectful and insisted the fault lie with her new staff. Poor leadership, I felt bad for the waitress we had who was very consistent and polite the entire time. Make sure you have a lot of time on your hands if you plan on going.More

This place was really disappointing. Our server was very nice and attentive but the food was awful. The steak was cooked unevenly and was tough. Although it was supposed to be medium-rare it was difficult to cut. It also wasn’t very flavorful. The southwest au...gratin potatoes were the worst. They looked unappetizing and they were undercooked. The potatoes were still hard and they had no flavor whatsoever. The cilantro chicken tasted okay but was very small. The chicken breast was about 1/4th the size of the bad au gratin potatoes they served. The side should not be significantly larger than the entree. It was also served with a sauce that was cold and was beginning to solidify. Honestly, the only decent thing we got was the bread loaf. We didn’t even finish the meal. This was our first time and we certainly will not be back. Additionally, it seemed they were not following COVID guidelines. There were many tables filled and they were all on the same side of the dining room close together with the other side of the room empty tables. They were not spacing out tables and also there were servers walking around without masks on, especially in the kitchen area.More

My spouse and I ate there last night. We had reservations and were seated immediately. The smell of smoke from the grill is overpowering. No one was social distancing as the place was packed. It was so loud in the place we couldn’t hardly hear...each other talk. We ordered the spinach/lobster queso dip. There was one tiny piece of lobster in it. My salmon was dry, baked potato warm, just disappointing. We won’t be returning.More

I have eaten here a few times. The food is great - get there early and order the Prime Rib. You won’t be disappointed. It is refreshing to go yo an establishment and get good service during a pandemic. I highly recommend eating here.

We were a party of 8 and the hostess told us the most she could seat together at a table was 6 due to the restaurant's restrictions. She said she could split us up and seat us. Before we even had a chance to decline...(as we had no interest in splitting up), another woman (not sure who she was) rushed up and told us that she absolutely could not seat us, even separated. She droned on a bit about Covid and then my husband, just for fun, said "so even if we were at two tables of four across the restaurant from each other, you couldn't seat us at all?" She said "No, I cannot because you're in the same party. Why don't you try (and then named a couple of restaurants nearby)." It was clear she did not want us in her restaurant. We got the vibe that she didn't like that we were dressed casually and that our kids were with us. We all had masks on so that wasn't the issue. While we have eaten at Firebirds many times over the years while dressed casually AND with our kids, after this experience we will not be going back. As for dinner, we walked out, called Prasino, they said come on down and seated our party of 8 with no wait. We had a lovely dinner at Prasino (just a short walk from Firebirds) with wonderful service.More

Celebrating my Birthday, my wife and I visited Firebirds for the first time. The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice. The food was not. I ordered a glass of wine and my wife, a gin and tonic. With the delivery of our drinks, I had...to send my wine back because the glass was distinctively dirty and my wife's gin and tonic was flat. We informed our waitress to relay to the bartender that her tonic is flat. With that bit of constructive criticism, she got a shrugging of the shoulders and a rolling of the eyes from the bartender. We both ordered the Surf and Turf with the loaded baked potato as our side. Our waitress was not knowledgeable of the menu as well as the drink menu. And when our food arrived, our Filet's as well as our Lobster Tails, were overcooked and not even warm. Our baked potatoes were so cold that the cheese wasn't even melted. My wife decided to at least send the baked potato back with the hope of a hotter one, only to receive another cold baked potato in return. For the 150 + dollars being spent, the food should be top notch. Very disappointing. Obviously, we shall not return.More
