Went there for a family dinner. Food was excellent. Service was great. Super attentive. The garlic bread is worth every calorie. I had the Pasta Primavera, more than enough to bring home. My wife had the Chicken Lrmonata which was very tasty. The Risotto Carbanara was sampled by all at the table as worth coming back for. Nice small restaurant... More

Popa Franks is small and intimate. It serves a nice Italian style breakfast. They get a bit heavy-handed with the Parmesan cheese on the breakfast potatoes, so you might want to tell them to go easy.

I had chicken piccata. It was good, even though we sat outside and couldn't see our meal. It was night and there was only one light. The outdoor seating was fun. The prices were great. I would get lasagna rolls next time. Bread was chewy. Like it was microwaved. They meant jones a weekend brunch. Sounds good. Art work for... More

Stumbled up this great gem on a Saturday night. Service was outstanding, servers were fun and OMG we had the chicken cordon blue and it was out of the world. There is a special sauce that comes with it, that I wish I knew how to make. The bread is to die for and I don't even eat bread. I'm... More

Excellent Italian cuisine! Affordable. Great service and cute town. Walking park nearby and although it would make sense if it was a wait list for a table, there is usually one available with no wait. Indoor or outdoor seating. My KC favorite spot for Italian.

The food was good. The service left a little to be desired. Our server was distracted or something. She left our salads sit on the bar and never brought them until we asked about them when she brought our meal. She had drowned the salad in dressing -- you could have drank it there was so much. The pasta was... More

My family stopped in to Papa Frank's during a recent day trip to Parkville, MO. The restaurant is clean, attractive and has a nice local feel. The menu features standard Italian and American dishes, and a nice $5.99 lunch menu. Be sure to try the pasta diavolo and Italian steak soup; the soup in particular was unique and tasty. The... I was actually trying to find another restaurant in the area and couldn't so I stopped into Franks and I'm glad I did. Nice menu, nothing crazy but my dinner was perfectly cooked under the watchful eye of Frank and the portion was right on the money. Often times you get way too much pasta in a serving but this... I thought I knew Italian from the myriad restaurants I have eaten at across the U.S. I haven't been to Italy so I know a few may scoff at the following remarks but the food here is wonderful. I had the fettucine alfredo and although I have eaten this dish at least 100 times in my life it was like... More

Nice little historic Italian restaurant on the main drag in Parkville, MO. It's really small, but that provides a cozy atmosphere. I had a calzone which was really good, as was my guest's eggplant parmisian. It's close to all the other shops in town, including some great little ice cream parlors.
