Jake was an awesome waiter! He anticipated our needs and was very knowledgeable about the menu. Best lobster I have EVER had!

The food was very good. I had the fried lobster tail it was delicious. My brother had the mahi mahi it was also good and my mother had the KC strip that was good. The only reason I rated it a 3 instead of a 4 was our wait time. We didn't make reservations so we waited to be seated... More

This was the best restaurant we have eaten at in Osage Beach. My husband had the prime rib and it was the best he had ever had. I enjoyed the shrimp. Highly recommend

Haven't been there in years & was so looking forward to the mushroom & chicken liver dish. I asked for it as an entree with a salad. My (adult) kids ordered the lobster bisque & the macaroni with lobster as an entree to share. When we got our "meals" they were so small compared to before. I guessed it was... More

J. Bruner's has been one of "the" restaurants to go to for several years. We went with a large group (10) at my recommendation and no one was very impressed. Even though we were a large group we were just about the only one's in the place. Service was not good; very slow. One of the younger servers seemed upset... More

The ribeyes were cooked well but the cuts were not the best. The service was great. The dessert was the typical thawed cheesecake but tasty. It was $65 for two plus tip.

J. Bruner's has been one of the leading places at the Lake of the Ozarks for decades. Our New Year's weekend visit met and exceeded our anticipation. The deep fried lobster tail is a destination choice and our super server even suggested a half portion so that we could also get the chicken livers. As always, the prime rib was... More

Thank you J. Bruners for NOT having a limited Valentines Day menu where everything costs twice as much. So many restaurants are part of the Valentines Day racket. Instead, we had a high-quality, well-paced, relaxing dinner with excellent food and service from Pat. Everything was well-prepared and delicious. Steaks start at $37, my 8 oz filet mignon was $40. I... More

Throw back to a time before the chain restaurants. Cozy area for cocktails before dinner, then you go upstairs to a true dining room. Concept is to communicate, not watch a game or be entertained. Concept is also top level food and comparable service. Excellent mid-America menu. Good wine list. All this costs money, so be prepared.

The food was outstanding and the service so attentive even though they were very busy. The ambiance in the dining rooms upstairs is very comfortable. There are many choices on the menu but the steaks are really excellent.
