Had lunch with friends. Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. My daughter has a nut allergy and the staff were very reassuring about this. Couldn't fault them. We didn't get a chance to use it but the beer garden looked great. Recommend.

First we had an impressive choise of meals! And our choice was realy perfect! The service and hospitality was great, this together with live music of at least 10 guitar players yesterday! Our bartender made the evening complete, he was the perfect host! We will be back!

Thought we would pop out to one of our favourite pubs in the country for bite to eat..... Little did we know Wednesday night is..... Guitar club night!!! As over half a dozen people wandered in with guitars underarm we wondered what we were letting ourselves in for whilst eating. What can I say, it was just great to hear... More

Super friendly staff and ambience. Plenty of parking and on the night that we visited and ate at the George there was a live band performing. Very noisy but a jolly good band. Service was prompt and friendly and this even with a thriving restaurant. Good wine list.

The good lady and I were invited here by friends for a evening called foods of the world. 5 courses with a selected wine with each. The food was spot on, to be honest I don't think I've had better. Paul the chef gives a small talk between each course on how he prepared each dish, where the produce was... More

We were staying in Doddington and were advised to go to The George as our nearest pub did not serve food on Monday night. We had done quite a bit of walking and when we got to The George it did not open for another 10 minutes. As I was sitting outside on the benches John came along to open... More

We didn't book and got a table. We were told there would be a 30 minute wait which suited us. We all ordered roasts and they were all good. The pork had good crackling. The vegetables were peas, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage (with cumin seeds). It was simple but tasty. The only thing is the menu said to ask... More

A traditional warm and friendly rustic pub in the heart of the Kent countryside that oozes in character with its exposed wood beams, hanging hops, log burner & inglenook fireplace. The George, as it is affectionately known, started life as a farm building in the 1500s and became a pub in 1718. It even has its own bus service, direct from Sittingbourne - just look for the bus with "The George" on the front. The George Inn has 80 seater capacity including its own 50 seater restaurant that can cater for all special occasions.Locally sourced seasonal produce is always used to create all our home made dishes by Paul our award winning chef and our team of professionals. You can keep updated with our monthly music plus other events at the George by looking us up on facebook "The George Inn Newnham". Food Served Mon-Sat 12- 2.30Pm 7- 9.30Pm and Sun 12- 4.30Pm. Opening hours 11.30-3Pm and 6.30-11Pm Mon-Sat. Sun 12- 6.30Pm. We recommend booking tables in advance.
