Every meal we have eaten at The Grove has been delicious!

The Grove is our go to restaurant when we eat out in Mtn. Grove. They never disappoint! We have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there several times. It is family oriented and serves delicious home style food. Prices are reasonable and they offer a reward program where you have a sign in option when checking out to earn points that can be redeemed for drinks, meal discounts, etc. Some of our favorites are the Panthers Burger, cashew chicken (and free pie on Wednesdays), chicken quesadilla, ham and cheese omelet, crispy chicken salad, pork chops, etc.!

Fried Chicken dinner after a backpacking trip!

This place hit the spot. We arrived around 11:40 on a Sunday and although they had plenty of customers, there was just a few minutes waiting time. Delicious fried chicken with mashed potatoes and white gravy plus fried okra. Stopped with friends after backpacking a section of the Ozark Trail. They also have pie and fried catfish. Pleasant staff.

Great menu selection and desserts

Delicious food, great service and clean restaurant. My sister and I shared an appetizer of onion rings, the Pork Tenderloin sandwich and fries. The onions rings were the battered kind and the onions sweet, burned the roof of my mouth, but so good. The sandwich was thick and hearty. The fries were steak fries. While we didn't have any dessert, the pies and cakes all looked so great...surprisingly, we resisted, but I really wanted a slice of the carrot cake.

Go with their fried chicken, takes about 20 min. There should be a new classification for these types of restaurants ~ that specialize in serving hot food pretty quick ~ sad part is that it all tastes like processed blah to me, and it leaves a greasy feeling in the mouth, even the iced tea tasted off, and, well I’ll stop there. They said they do freshly prepare their fried chicken. Clean place, good service,

No Covid safety practices!!!

I was traveling through Mountain Grove and selected this restaurant for lunch based on Trip Advisor reviews. I was shocked when we arrived to find that the restaurant was full, there was no separation between the tables and booths and none of the staff wore masks. Needless to say, we didn't stay for lunch. I wish someone had put this in a review and saved us the trouble of traveling to the restaurant.

BEST STOP for breakfast or brunch....GREAT CHOICE

We had....Veggie Omelette and pancake, Hamburger Steak, Liver and Onions, Fried Chicken and the BBQ Chicken Sandwich....all of which were outstanding. The service was SUPER friendly. You could tell that locals and travelers frequent this restaurant - and for GOOD REASON(s)! The price can NOT be beat!!

The food and service here was top notch. While diner food, it was meticulously prepared and served hot and fresh. Fried chicken breast was excellent - juicy inside and crispy outside. Biscuits and gravy were the best I've had in years. Corned beef hash was the special for the day and it was scarfed up quickly. HIGHLY recommend!

Great food and service

Stopped here while traveling thru on vacation. Food was very good. Had ham and beans and cornbread which was really good! Husband had the hamburger steak with grilled onions which was very tasty and cooked perfectly. The chicken tortilla soup was so good! Would love to have that recipe! Would highly recommend to anyone traveling thru Mountain Grove Mo to stop and eat at this restaurant! Denise

Great food & service!

We stopped here for lunch while heading home from a trip to New Mexico. The place was busy, which we think is good. They have an extensive menu, breakfast taking up half of it. They have a Veterans & Seniors section on the menu which we ordered from, a hamburger & fries for my husband & hamburger steak & fries for me. Both were delicious! Our waitress (who wore a "He is Risen" tee shirt, which we loved & every employee we cane in contact with were friendly & attentive. Would definitely stop again if in this area again!😎😎

Overnight stay discovery of top notch eating establishment!

Smaller towns always seem to have a limited number of restaurants but as I told the cashier, limited choice doesn’t mean they are good. The Grove more than exceeded our expectations. Plenty of staff, timely service, and GREAT food. I wish it was in my hometown! Kudos to the Grove!!!

My kids both had breakfast food (which is served all days so that's great) my husband had a turkey grilled cheese & I had a big burger 🤤 food was so great. Definitely recommend! The waitresses were alright (had to flag them down for refills) but to be honest anywhere I go I don't ever expect to have great service 😂

The best!

We had been traveling for ten days and have had our breakfast meal in different locations from Colorado to Georgia. Our meal here was the closest to a great home prepared meal than any others. The service was great, the choices were many and we could not have asked for better. The pancakes, cinnamon French toast, omelette, sausage, orange juice & coffee were the best. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

The BEST!!!

Stopped by on our way out of Mansfield on a recommendation from the ladies at I think it was the mercantile (on the square in Mansfield). Headed in for breakfast on Sunday morning around 10 am. It was pretty busy but the waitstaff was really attentive and we didn’t have to wait on anything. The hostess and both of the waitresses that helped us were just so precious and sweet. Our food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the panther omelet! Please give this place a try, and tip your waitresses well, they deserve it!!

Very clean establishment and friendly staff. As we walked in, we asked people leaving what they liked the best. They said the cast iron skillet meals. Breakfast is served all day so I had the vegetable breakfast skillet. It was delicious. My husband had chicken fried steak which he rated as good. Overall we would eat here again.

Disappointing

We were hoping for good home cooked food, but we were disappointed. I ordered the meatloaf special and really couldn't eat it. I would not recommend this restaurant. We wished we'd just gone to a drive thru. I am really surprised by the glowing reviews. It's really poor diner food and the service was sloppy.
