The meal was fine, they need to put a bit of time into house keeping or to up date the restaurant. The waitress was very entertaining.

It has been nice to visit Norfolk Island again, and to come back to Barney Duffeys. A nice atmosphere and the food was as good as I remember from my last visit. We will surely be back again on our next visit to Norfolk Island. Also had a quick chat to Chef Paul. He gave us some good tips for... More

This place reminded me of the 70's. I had a sirloin steak with mushroom sauce, it came with a jacket potato cooked in foil & side salad. The steak was tender, juicy & perfectly cooked & the salad fresh & tasty. My desert of sticky date pudding was disappointing, the pudding was rubbery & pretty tasteless. The service was excellent... Two of us visited here in mid August, and had dinner. We initially called by to have a look at the menu outside, outside operating hours, and noticed a pad and pen on a stand, for people to book a time. So we did this and showed up later in the evening at the scheduled time. Staff was friendly. I... More

The ribs fall off the bone, so easy to eat. lovely hickory flavour. Their BBQ sauce is finger licking. I am allergic to it so had garlic sauce one night, mushroom another. Seafood chowder was excellent. garlic bread very good. T-bone was good, but I don't like Tbone much, but wanted to try the local beef and it was the... More

Went to Barney Duffy's in a big group (26 of us) to catch up with all the people who had travelled from NSW & were visiting the Island for Ballroom Dancing Festival. They handled the big group well & put us all upstairs so we could all be together. Had a lovely night, never rushed even though we wee the... More

Always meant to go here and finally did! We had Oysters to start with (I finally have my husband eating Oysters) and then the Chicken Camembert and Mixed Seafood. It was very nice although the Calamari a little chewy. We were going to stay for dessert BUT the next table had a woman who was so loud from the minute... More

We have eaten at Barney Duffeys about 10 times over the last 3 years and we have never had a meal that wasn't excellent. Paul the chef is very friendly and does an amazing seafood chowder. The steak and fish are awesome too. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at Barney Duffys. Highly recommend a visit to this... More
