Gave this place a second chance. I've never had a good meal here yet. They skimp on everything and it's just not the type of cajun food I've ever had.

If you like Cajun food and don't want to travel to Louisiana then head to Monett, MO. The food is great and authentic. The owners actually came to Missouri following the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. The menu include all kinds of seafood, such things as alligator, crab, shrimp, oysters, etc. and for non-seafood eaters try the chicken alfredo. You might... More

Visited the Bayou again last night. Our party of 4 all ordered the bacon wrapped fillet. What a delight! Having dined at some of the finer restaurants across the country, I'd rank this fillet among the best. The beef was perfectly aged, tender and flavorful. We ordered from medium rare to well done. Everybody agreed that the fillets were perfectly... More

What a nice change of pace from the normal burgers, Mexican or Chinese . I ordered the half order of fried oysters and it did not disappoint. They were bite size, crispy, and hit the spot ! The menu was full of options and everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked delicious.

What a great restaurant! First of all, the food was great. You could taste the freshness in everything. The staff members were fun to talk to. You could tell they took a lot of pride in their dishes. If you are in the area and want fresh Cajun and Seafood, this is definitely the place you want to go.

We were visiting from out of state and our relatives took us here. The food was fantastic! I had the blackened salmon, perfectly cooked. Loved the red beans and rice and jalapeño corn bread. The best meal was the smothered catfish. I don't know what the red sauce was but it was soooo good, tasty but not too hot. The... More

I have had many meals at this restaurant and never had a bad dish. The food is always hot and fresh. The prices are very reasonable and will not break the bank. Try the meat pies, they are scrumptious. I am also a fan of the shrimp and crawfish boil. If you go for a po-boy be sure and have... More

The food is one of kind in the Monett area. It may not be true traditional Cajun, as that is just to spicy for the tastes of us in this area, but it is very close. That has been confirmed from friends that are from that area. The quality of the food is always a 5 and the service is... More
